  1. Below average in NE means you still get some snow or at least stand a chance. Below average in the MA, especially south and east of I-95 means 34 and rain all winter. I moved where I am to help my climo out, but I know that's not an option for a lot of people. Honestly, I'd give a lot to have a nice month from say Dec 18 - Jan 15 where it's cold and we get a nice cold power 8" - 12" on Christmas day that hangs around for the decorations.
  2. I don't think you understand how desperate things are in these parts. We have bad climo to begin with and it's getting more hostile each year. We've had some truly terrible luck the past 2 years which has made this sub-forum incredibly frustrated.
  3. That's terrible. Adults suck.
  4. Grew up in PA and never had school start until the day after Labor Day. Adults taking all the fun out of kids. Really sucks.
  5. Wut? That seems insanely early.
  6. Well yea, 65 and partly cloudy on Christmas is a given at this point.
  7. Going to go out on a limb here and say that, barring some cheap torch downslope day, we're probably done with the 95° + heat in the area until next summer.
  8. M0.53 Reisterstown at of 7am.
  9. I'm going to be honest with you, it's just easier to get a large have-a-heart trap and get them one at a time, then drive about 2 miles away and release all the same squirrels in a park or game preserver area, etc. If you transfer them all to the same area, they'll group up again and have a better time surviving. Harmless to all parties, but time consuming.
  10. Clock is ticking louder each day. Season really looking like a total dud. Hopefully I'm wrong.
  11. Rutgers tomatoes producing in spades. Already started canning. We're pulling about 12 - 20 tomatoes / day off 2 plants.
  12. Topped out at 98 in Reisterstown. Yesterday. M0.28" of rain, but we dropped 10 degrees from 86 to 76 with the rain last night.
  13. Topped out at 98 in Reisterstown.
  14. Made it to 96° today. We've been quietly putting together a nice string of summer here.
  15. Time sensitive, but if you take a look at the visible satellite loop, you'll see a small line of convection blow up to the east of Baltimore, but the anvil level winds are from the east and blow the cirrus tops back west. Really neat. EDIT: Finally got a gif of it to upload!
  16. Above ground pool owners weep.
  17. So guess what...I got tickets for Saturday instead of Friday. Thankfully I realized before we left.
  18. Torching at home. Temp up to 93/74 degrees. Feel worse than yesterday outside.
  19. Looks like bay breeze marching west in Maryland to the US 29 corridor...might serve as an additional focus for convection/training this afternoon.
