6:30: Light snow. Temp is 23.5. Average of 3 measurements is 6.2". About 4-5" on the driveway. For the first time in over 1,000 days...it's time to shovel!
I'm starting to wonder if my no shoveling streak is going to be extended. It can't snow much harder than it is right now but there is nothing on any paved surface. Accumulating nicely on other surfaces.
When we were looking to buy 30 years ago I made a significant tactical error. I did not factor in snow retention into my matrix. I can't tell you how many times when I'm driving around looking at snow covered yards that I have serious regrets.
I have zero evidence of snow here. 100% gone in my yard. There is some remaining in my area where previous snow had drifted.
Not a drop or flake or anything else here. It is an extremely dark day, however.
I've been keeping track - for each event going back to last year he was either spot on with his numbers or too HIGH...
It's interesting how people "complain" about MU forecasting low snowfall amounts. It hasn't exactly been banner times for snow in our area for the past few years. Would people rather see him forecast 6-12" and we still end up with 2"?
I mean...his job is to forecast accurately. Seems like he's done pretty well?
