    I'm not good at estimating winds but it's blowing pretty good here - I'd say 10-20 mph sustained with gusts around 30.

    Today is a day that isn't hard to get used to, that's for sure. Beautiful! My "light easterly breeze" from this morning has evolved into a "fresh easterly breeze" now.

    I said that specifically for you...hence my " I know, I know" comment. However, please understand that I detest heat every bit as much as you detest cold. 86 to me is 15 degrees too warm. I'm not looking for or interested in snow whatsoever. I just want spring weather. 86 is 1 degree shy of my warmest average temperature of the year.

    Nice spring day today. Feels so much better than yesterday's blast furnace of 86. (official high was 87) I know, I know...

    Would only be my 2nd 80 degree day for the year to this point...not bad.

    That would be correct. It actually was turned off a few times during the cool spell last week - my wife even mentioned that she didn't think that our A/C had ever been off during the month of May before. I'm getting soft.

    My guess might already be in trouble if we keep getting back door cold fronts...though it looks like even if we cool early next week that warmer/hot? weather surges in for Memorial Day weekend...

    Made it to 52 here today, but with plenty of clouds and a brisk NW wind it wasn't the most pleasant of spring days outdoors. Inside, my AC is running right now, however.

    Happy to say that I saw flurries a few times since noon - never more than a few random flakes but hey...I was hoping to see some instability-driven snow flurries this afternoon, mission accomplished!
