  1. Rain has started here again - already nearing 1" for the day. If that large cluster in SWPA makes it here we're going to be near 2" before all is said and done.
  2. I can tell that story and my wife wishes we were grandparents.
  3. I've got so much rain right now it's coming in my windows.
  4. Same here...and it's dumping. I've had more rain in the past 90 minutes than I had all week collectively.
  5. We don't often have a temperature near 20 at noontime during January snowstorms... Wait - we often don't have January snowstorms.
  6. The airmass in '82 was probably a once in a 100 years arctic invasion. Maybe 500 years. That was my point in a previous conversation we had earlier in the winter - when is it 21 degrees at high noon on April 6th around these parts?
  7. Currently at .55 for the day, now up to .89 for the week. Had a real nice downpour move through about 30 minutes ago.
  8. 3rd consecutive underperforming rain event... Last week the European model depicted between 3-4" of rain this week. I've made it past the .5" threshold now.
  9. Correct. My county was just added to the stay at home order though I don't see much different in the verbiage than from what was already in place.
  10. Lancaster will finish the January through March period as the 2nd warmest on record, trailing only the abysmal 1998 winter.
  11. @canderson I'm just getting caught up this morning - my best wishes to your family and the young lady that is infected. I'm reading a lot of horror stories about young, healthy people either dying or getting extremely ill from this virus. With every passing day I'm becoming increasingly concerned as it's only getting worse now and will continue to get worse for at least a few more weeks...
  12. I was thinking about that this morning - these past 2 systems really trended south in the final days leading into them. Couldn't buy that trend all winter.
  13. If these first 2 systems this week would have been snow events this place would be ugly right now. What was expected to be between 1.5 - 2" of rain here resulted in just under .4"
  14. It is...but we can no longer say that snow is the only underperformer in regards to precip. Monday's rain event left about half of what was modeled 48 hours out and today's event looks to be similar if not even a little less than half. Sunday's Euro depiction for rainfall in our area is in serious trouble unless it really ramps up this weekend. I'm convinced the only thing we do consistently well is overachieve on high temps. We got that down pat.
  15. Especially now, walking is good for the body, mind and soul. Add in a chicken sandwich and all is well. Relatively.
  16. Going to get out on the trail and enjoy a rare dry day this week. Fresh air is more than welcome so long as their is no one else around me...
  17. Nice area up there above Haneyville. I've made a few stops at Pat Reeder's in the past.
  18. I imagine up above Waterville on 44 north there's a couple of inches...maybe.
  19. I work with a diehard Caps fan - it was so much fun for so many years watching him get all cocky about how good his team was...until April. Last year he finally shut me up. (after 22 years of a lot of ribbing) Nice little band of snow moved through CPA this afternoon. @Wmsptwx probably got in on the action and didn't say anything. There was actually a special weather statement that extended down to JUST north of @Blizzard of 93 house.
  20. In the absence of live sporting events there are many classic games from the past airing these days...betcha have a pretty good chance at picking a winner from one of them.
  21. I wonder what will happen first...our next snowstorm or the eradication of this virus? I'm pessimistic about both.
  22. All public schools in the state of Virginia - closed for the remainder of the school year.
