  1. 64 here - yesterday at 10am I was 62. Likely I'll add a degree, maybe 2 in the next 15 minutes.
  2. Conventional wisdom coaching is out the door - how many times do we now see a coach go for it on 4th and 3 from their own 35? That NEVER happened years ago unless it was desperation time. Coaches are putting their teams (defenses) in some really bad situations. I agree...same with players. Russ looks absolutely horrid out there. He had to play an awful game to lose last night and somehow he found it in him to do just that.
  3. Biggest underdog in 53 seasons. Gut feeling - Steel puts up an epic fight but loses late.
  4. Random musing - there have been some truly atrocious NFL games so far this season. More than I recall in previous seasons. A few involving Denver, but not just them. The first half of the Steelers-Jets game was the most embarrassing half of football that I've personally witnessed. Amazon's new contract brought with it some clunkers.
  5. 50 for the low here. Sunny skies and already up to 54.
  6. It actually rained a 2nd time (a little) after midnight - an additional .02" recorded this morning. .12" isn't too shabby when the POP last night was 0%. LOL
  7. It is pouring here. Where did this come from? Edit: rained about 5 minutes and picked up .10"
  8. My "official" high was 77.2 I'm guessing that perhaps MDT stayed a little cooler due to the river? Maybe? I'd think the water temp has probably come down some over the past couple of weeks.
  9. I'll be mowing in t minus 2.5 hours... It's currently sunny and 75!
  10. NO!!!!! Nothing good comes from snow that early - at least that's what our history has been. We had snow in early October 1979...ended up with a TOTAL of 7.5" (MU) for the entire winter. I don't think the winter of 2011-12 was much better after it snowed in October. Keep that October snow far away please.
  11. MU is going for 74-78 today and 72-76 tomorrow.
  12. Thinking 75ish seems reasonable - amazing how warm it feels today after the weather we've had recently.
  13. Sunny and 69 - feeling like a mid 70s kind of day out there.
  14. Not sure how good of a coach he was, but he made for good theater.
  15. You have always, always been a very good sport about sports teams. Never once have you been obnoxious or tried to incite anyone. As you said, you even go out of your way to support the local teams even though their not your teams. I don't like either Dallas or Philly but regardless, Buddy Ryan probably wasn't the best human being. Aikman certainly "got his" later on.
  16. @Porsche- thanks for sharing the storm through pictures! @Bubbler86 - I agree with you. Sometimes when viewing "stormy beach pictures" from above, you don't really get a sense for just how rough it is. Boy, those 2 pictures you were referring to...those are some colossal waves!
  17. For the first time here since last Thursday...I see the sun!
  18. I typed about 6 different responses to this from Buddy Ryan's perspective but didn't think any of them were appropriate to post. LOL
  19. I like the Dean dude that's on Saturdays better. LOL
  20. Nah...3 days of 77 means the AC won't shut off much. LOL
  21. Also...after a couple of hours of dry weather...itsrainingtime.
  22. Elliott Abrams educated me that Indian Summer occurred only after the 1st legit frost of the season, so barring that this weekend, I'm ruling that out. Mid 70s is NOT a heat wave regardless of what the normal highs are (to me) so that goes out the door. Sounds like a stretch of warm autumn days are in store for us.
  23. I'm counting down the hours until the mower comes out. LOL
