  1. Kevin Long. He was working with Bohm a lot during last night's game. He got him to produce 2 outs instead of just 1 after his talk.
  2. You've been spot on all week with your 70s temp prediction. For that, I simply say: haha, atta-boy, Bubbler.
  3. For numbers geeks like us...this is actually kind of a big deal when it comes to bragging rights. PSU is actually running a little ahead of Michigan for 2023 average home attendance. I don't know the last time that Michigan did not lead the country in that category, but we had a chance to upend them this year. This week is going to knock us back behind them. https://basicbluesnation.com/penn-state-football-leads-the-country-in-home-game-attendance/#:~:text=It started strong against West,in Beaver Stadium history 110%2C830.
  4. I thought about it for a hot second. But then I was like "eh...I might have to find stuff that's buried somewhere...like a sweatshirt, long pants, maybe even a hat..." Nah. Big Ten Network, here I come!
  5. @Mount Joy Snowman - speaking of numbers...tickets can be had for $13 for Saturday's showdown with UMass. (on the official PSU website) Can we get the asking price under $10 by Saturday?
  6. Americanwx has, I believe a member who posts in the MA thread that lives in Davis. Just a little fun fact to go with your daily dose of data!
  7. Ruh roh. It "might" have kicked on a few times the last couple of evenings when it was in the 40s. My wife took care of the stink eye for you...
  8. The AC in Maytown is locked in the on position until...well, sometime in the future. I can go in a few different directions with this...
  9. Sunshine, blue skies and 66 here currently. So...we have Partly Sunny, Mostly Sunny, Sunny...and now "Very Sunny"? LOL
  10. YES!!! That happens ALL the time when we're down walking on the river trail!
  11. Another wet day at the Beav. This will neutralize our offense and even things up with UMass. 9-3 Nittany Lions. I kid. I hope.
  12. I laughed out loud at this. Here's my daily experience: 7:02AM - me to wife "it's going to be sunny and warm, temps in the 70s today" 7:32AM - wife walks out the door, texts me at work "I didn't realize it was going to be so nice out today"
  13. John Smoltz is kissing up to Baltimore constantly. It isn't changing anything on the field. LOL
  14. The snow event of October 10, 1979 included thundersnow in Washington, DC.: https://www.glenallenweather.com/upload/history/significant/early-events/1979/1979.pdf
  15. I mean, you'd think they would understand? Everyone made such a big deal (rightfully so) over the snowfall we had on 10/29/2011 - so what is more impressive? And this isn't a question just for you, but to all - Is 5-6" of snow that falls on 10/29 more impressive, or 1" of snow that falls on 10/10? For me, hard choice. I'm going to say 1" on 10/10 only because I'm pretty confident that I will never see snow on the ground again here during the 2nd week of October. Not that I'd expect 5"+ on 10/29, either.
  16. I'm now at 32 and mowing every 3-4 days again. I mowed late Saturday afternoon and I noticed this morning that I'll be cranking it up again tomorrow.
  17. You're not alone - I was a freshman in high school in Millersville (PA) and was sitting in math class when the teacher came out of nowhere and slapped his hand down on my desk. Scared the living shit out of me. He said "Michael, stop staring out the window...haven't you seen snow before?" Jerk move by him.
  18. @mitchnick - you have any recollections of the 1979 October snow event? Not sure where you were living at that time.
