  1. 10am NYC 87/73 HI 94 LGA 90/72 HI 97 JFK 90/78 HI 104 EWR 91/74 HI 100
  2. 86/77 HI 96 at 830am. Low was 82. Heat index 100+ until after midnight and never below 90.
  3. Is it really the heat? Either way I decided to take the ferry to the bx which turned out to be an excellent call.
  4. The Park is 90 for 6pm obs. LGA is 92 Barely made it.
  5. Just got to 90 NY Botanical garden nearby was 91/80. HI 109. I find their obs fairly reliable over the yrs.
  6. Technically it may not be a heat wave for some, unless we get a early evening small bump in temp. It will be a hot stretch overall with a break in the middle yday.
  7. NWS forecast here has heat index as high as 113 on Sat and 115 on Sun
  8. I think it was about right. It was cloudy and a few showers. I got up to 76 but spent a good chunk of the time in the low 70s and a breezy E to NE wind. LGA was only 78. That's why I was shocked to see JFK was 86. The wind went southerly and/or the sun came out down there? It was a back door kind of day N and NE of midtown it seems. Curious how hot it gets today, need to climb nearly 25 degrees to meet current forecasts and that's with an overcast start. Not that I necessarily doubt it, but it's a ways to go.
  9. Wow I didnt realize how warm it got at most locations. JFK was 86? The sun came out in Queens apparently. It's actually feel kinda chilly outside 70 dew 69 with a little gusty east wind
  10. Yes same just to your south in the bx. Flash flood warning now too.
  11. The sky looks green and lots of lightening. That wind feels great though and ominous at the same time.
  12. Severe t-storm warning for NYC NE NJ lower Hudson valley, SW CT. Thats big area for a warning. Meanwhile its cloudy 90/78/103
  13. I saw Lee Goldberg basically say the only reason he isnt forecast 100 for the city is because the central park thermometer runs cool. In terms of actual conditions on city streets expect around 100. As for right now here 90/77 HI 104
  14. Working for me, and it also slightly warmer for me on Sat and Sun, 101, and 99 respectively.
  15. The Park managed to get to 90 before dropping a degree at the usual time
  16. Alot of times Central Park is done by 3pm. Those 5pm high temps you see at LGA or EWR sometimes, the park misses out on. I guess the sun angle gets blocked by that point. The inexplicable temp drop usually starts around that time. At 91 here. Up to 8 90+ days.
  17. Whoa..If that ever materialized that'd produce heat indexes near or at 120 for urban NE NJ into NYC.
  18. 75/65 here with smoke/haze. Calm wind. More so than yday. Interesting how much if any effect it'll have on temps. NWS has high of 90. Wonder how much they factor than in.
  19. Yeah didnt expect that. Its hasn't been more than a persistent drizzle and mist here. Dreary but also got us just below 70 for a little while. A brief cool break is ok. Lot of flash flooding down around DC that's where the action is. 3.3" in 1 hr. https://twitter.com/capitalweather/status/1148232536155463680?s=19
