  1. I think from Hamburg to South Buffalo sees less then 2” of additional accumulation for the whole event. I think northtowns see 2-4”. Flow is terrible for Southtowns until you get elevation.
  2. We were never supposed to get any accumulation at lower elevations til after dark last night. Call was for dusting to an inch at best by 5pm today. We’ll see how tonight unfolds and we may end up with nothing again but I know up until now nothing was forecasted to stick at lower elevations.
  3. Man would this hurt. Probably an inch here while 5-10 miles N and S would be 6-12”++
  4. Snowing good now in West Seneca. Solid coating on the grass. Hopefully we can upstick in intensity a little more and keep it going for the next 24 hours or so.
  5. Crazy. Grass covered in Hamburg Village at work and snowing good, not a flake at home in West Seneca on the Nest Cam. Actually looks like maybe some drizzle?
  6. If I see 14" in the next 72 hours I will literally eat a piece of my shoe and record it and post it on here. Where are they getting this stuff from?
  7. I’ll take my 8-12” and run! Don’t see that happening. 3-6” for KBUF and immediate Southtowns. 6-10” for distant Southtowns.
  8. Why? ROR was an overrated centerman with a bad attitude. Team is infused with young talent with Middlestadt and Dahlin as well as Eichel, Okposo, Rinehart, Pominville all stepping up in a big way then add in the offseason additions of Skinner, Sheary, Bergland, Sobotka, and a very competent goalie with Hutton and it's no surprise they're playing as well as they are. This is a good team with people who actually want to be here now.
  9. Sounds about right to me. Have a seasonal total of 8.7" here so far but just 3 miles to my ESE on the WS/Elma border they've had over a foot so far this year.
  10. Not entirely true. 2-4” of that fell in the widespread snow burst yesterday morning and early afternoon. I was hunting in Holland yesterday and there was a good 3-4” of new snow during the day so only 1-2” of that was from the band this morning...
  11. Unbelievable. Off to a rough start again this year in the transition zone lol! The difference just from Hamburg is unbelievable for a a synoptic event. Seems more like lake effect with blades of grass peaking through in Blasdell, while Hamburg village is pasted under 8” of concrete and ripping huge Dendrites.
  12. 6.5” inches at work in Hanburg, about 4” at home in WS. Not bad considering we got so much rain to start with. Congrats to those E of Lake Ontario that cashed in. 1 foot plus is some serious stuff for this early!
  13. Hour later, still pouring rain. Temp has risen to 33.3. C.C. shows no sign of the mix line moving anywhere near us and whatever little snow/sleet we did have (less than 1”) is being washed away.
  14. Plain rain and temperature is UP to 33.2 degrees in WS.
  15. No forecast called for PLAIN rain especially not for this long. It’s 7:15 and still just plain rain outside with no sign of a changeover in correlation coefficient... I didn’t think we’d see as much QPF as we are but figured we mix a little bit but not this much. I could be wrong but I don’t see how we changeover before 10pm at this point if not later and by then we’ll have wasted a majority of our QPF.
  16. I didn’t, I guessed 2.8” for KBUF yesterday and said I think a mix will be a problem. I was just shocked to see plain rain honestly. Looking at radar from the Northeast it’s pretty crazy to see it’s snowing to the north, south, east, and west of us and we’re in our own little bubble of slightly above freezing temperatures aloft causing our misfortune.
  17. By the time we switch back over to snow I’ll honestly be shocked if we picked up 3”. Lots and lots of QPF wasted on sleet and even more so rain. Not even like it’s below freezing and it’s ice cause it’s 32.9 degrees so it’s just plain old rain. Oh well. Congrats to you folks off to the east (besides Manhattan lol, I can’t believe they’re snowing like that while we’re plain raining)!
  18. Absolutely no signs of a changeover back to snow anytime soon on C.C.
  19. Yes definitely some freezing rain here in West seneca too.
  20. Left Hamburg pure sleet, hit moderate to heavy snow in a Blasdell and back to pure sleet here.
