  1. Northwest edge creeping very close to me, but looks like it’s stopped and expanding to the northeast. Some heavier returns approaching southeast Baltimore.
  2. I think Tommy T is hard set in this not being a big snow. Doesn’t want Ava to contradict him!
  3. In @usedtobe world, it’s about to get real. Sure hope that he posts today.
  4. Thanks for the reminder. Carefully scraped the top and removed the cone out of my CoCoRaHS gauge. Need the cone to thaw to get a measurement. About 1” of snow.
  5. I wish all of the eastern shore folks posted more. Everyone knows life is better over there.
  6. It’s a weenie radar but illustrates your point at the surface.
  7. Hardest part of using ignore is remembering how to spell douche with cntrtim in the spelling.
  8. I was just quoting the post that got deleted. Well, part of it anyway.
  9. I can’t believe it took anyone 8 tries.
  10. @WxWatcher007, I can’t imagine the grief you’re going through but know you’re thought of often.
  11. You hit on something that I didn’t say but also try to stress to students. Besides not being cheap, trade schools are tough. There’s a misconception that going to a trade school is “easier” than college and that’s not at all the case. It’s a focused curriculum and zero fluff. And as you said, it’s still going to cost you. Though if you’re lucky some companies are so short of workers that they are willing to help pay for equipment and/or classes. But I’m preaching to the choir. Lots of folks on this board know way more about this than me because they’ve experienced it.
  12. Just my opinion, but it’s not that college is overrated, but there’s no doubt that tech and trade schools are WAY underrated. With all of my hobbies and penchant for tinkering, it’s the route I should have probably gone, though I love telling my students that college was the best 16 years of my life! It’s just so different now. Tough to get a degree these days without a mountain of debt. Sounds like your son is level-headed beyond his years, and a great opportunity for you to work alongside him.
