  1. Absolutely. Still no expectations from me, but they are so much more fun to watch than the last decade.
  2. Much tougher second half of the season compared to the first half.
  3. Air quality alert for that area and adjacent counties too. No mention of the fires in the alert but maybe they’re related.
  4. I don’t recall that winter. Epic December? In what way?
  5. You could be right but here’s where I read it. https://www.washingtonpost.com/weather/2024/10/29/no-rain-east-coast-dry-spell/# ”Washington, D.C., had a soaking rainfall on Oct. 1, with 1.46 inches falling; the nation’s capital also got 0.02 inches the next day. That’s why the city hasn’t set a record yet. It has been 26 days without rain. Still, it marks Washington’s longest dry stretch since 2007, when there were a record 34 straight rainless days. The all-time record is 43 days, which happened in October and November of 2000.”
  6. My like on @Deck Pic’s post is a substitute for the non-existent “Hell Yeah!” emoji. Particularly for the -7 month.
  7. You did this last month and then there was 5” of rain. It’s a model with a forecast for the next three weeks. Maybe it won’t rain, but I guarantee that the model you’re looking at isn’t foretelling the next three week’s weather. I’m just saying maybe relax and let the weather do weather.
  8. Yeah, my shot isn’t what I saw. I could tell that it was happening, but to the naked eye, it didn’t look like like the photo. For me, it doesn’t take away from the event.
  9. So excited for everyone! I’ve just landed in Colorado and sunset is about an hour away. Heading now to the Great American Beer Fest and then later heading out to dark skies beyond Boulder.
  10. That’s a strong no regarding the torch. It’s not too late.
  11. Driving along 100 today near 29 and some of the maple tips are a super vibrant red. Someone should start a foliage thread for photos. And @WxUSAF, no first freeze this year? Or are you betting we just don’t have a freeze?
  12. Is that for tonight, early tomorrow morning, or tomorrow night, or…
  13. That didn't take long. Hopefully it's peaking early and will weaken before Florida, but that's wishful thinking.
  14. Ironically, over the past year or so, I've been drinking too much whiskey and recently have been reaching for a beer instead. Good thing because I'm heading to the GABF in Denver this weekend!
  15. It’s amazing. I’ll check downstairs and see if there are any low fill cans. If so, we can meet up! edit: Yeah, I grabbed a few.
  16. Nice. I worked today and am enjoying a post shift Munich Dunkel Porter on draft. Good list here now. The Oktoberfest will be back on as soon as something else kicks.
  17. I asked this awhile back in a different thread, and no one addressed it. Probably because it’s such a stupid question, but I thought that I read somewhere and sometime ago that a track over Tampa was unusual. Maybe not? I bring it up because I have generally been skeptical anytime I see a track like the one on the NHC site now.
  18. Orioles need speed and also learn to play some small ball.
