Yea, I don’t mean the western ridges, but maybe the Frederick and Hagerstown valleys. I’m not even sure this is a typical cad setup.
Yeah, not the typical cad setup. The warm intrusion is off the ocean and not from the southwest.

The main idea all week has been for the we’re seeing today to slide right off the coast and a return flow ahead of the next lp. There is the other high building over Canada, but that seems disconnected from the cold we’re seeing today (and too far north). Maybe the higher elevations can still win on cad, though.Higher elevations lose cad the quickest.

Northern Baltimore county was added to the watch. I think that happened with this morning’s package.

You bastard! I am only at 366 feet (roof of my house will put my at 380 feet I suppose...)
Mine is actually 490'. I was a couple of blocks off. Pretty sure that your latitude will crush me this weekend.

For those of you that want to nailbite even more about elevation - this is the Maryland LiDAR viewer
https://geodata.md.gov/topoviewer/
Cool tool if nothing else - REALLY high-res data there. I think @mappy might have been the one to post it a long while ago. For map geeks, can get lost for hours in just scrolling around.
I just zoomed in to the roof of my house and it's 508'.

This kind of reminds of a storm in February, 2005. We were all wondering if it would be rain or snow and it rolled in as snow. Ji was so happy because the precip hit a wall just northeast of his house and dumped for a few hours until the precip finally saturated north of there. It was in and out in a hurry but it was a quick 6" of snow.
Hopefully this one is a similar outcome.

Good or bad, the sun was at perhilion last night so we are at the time of year when our sunrises begin getting earlier. Personally, I'm always disappointed when we don't get a decent snow event from mid-December to mid-January because when it snows this time of year, the evenings and mornings seem to drag on forever.

I remember my cat would chase Vortmax’s flying birds across the computer screen.

This is probably an NW suburbs event. Closer to I-95 is really walking the fence with this one.

Happy New Year to all. I can tell that I’m a year older because I’m wishing my neighbors didn’t like fireworks so much.

Let’s just hope they are in business in 2 weeks. Lol, but seriously at the same time.
Damn, I didn’t know that they were struggling. At the same time, I haven’t heard anything at all from them either. There was a time when I liked their stuff better than Black Flag’s.

Is Hysteria putting an MVP can out this year so we can meet up again?

Nice for Huntley. He will play the whole game next week.
I think Lamar might play a few downs next week. Three weeks between games may be a lot of rust.

Ravens just played the 2 other best teams in the NFL and beat the ever living shit out of them
May see them both again.
I also hate to see injuries, especially in a blowout.

Wow. This is beautiful.

Honestly don't have words for this offense right now. Just insane
I think they’re going to have to keep it up. I was at the game last year against the fish.

Precip here is just over 7” for the month and 45” for 2023.

The 6z gfs gives us some hope, but I’m praying that it isn’t the high water mark for the weekend model runs. Reading negativity, regardless of whether it’s warranted or not, is getting old. Over 700 days now and still counting…
