You've not wrong.  My skis are for touring and not speed.  They're also wider than typical XC skis so they handle fresh snow pretty well, as long as isn't super deep.

When I slip on the ice tonight and need an ambulance, I'm demanding that they take me to Bel Air.

God damn I wish I didn't have to see ignored users quoted posts.  Buzz kill.

I'm feeling like I'm in a good spot for the remainder of the storm.  I'm going to weenie my way to over 6" when that band sets up over me.

@Deck Pic schooled the forum about back building and pivots a long time ago.  Ji was goofing off on his phone and missed the lesson.

Been steady all morning with about 4" of new snow.  I walked over to the local golf course to do some xc skiing but it's been so long that the sole of my ski boot came off.    I can't believe that I was able to walk home and not get my foot wet.  And just now, looking out the window, I see my neighbor coming back from a snowshoe walk.
