  1. Cool site. I clicked on some events and they all appear to link back to Twitter though. None of that is verifiable information.
  2. If you have better sources for breaking info feel free to share here.
  3. Not trying for gotchas, just saying the narrative on twitter about this war makes zero sense to me. I am seeing the same random tweets you guys are seeing from western sources. It's not adding up for me.
  4. So your argument is that Ukraine is winning as they try desperately to enlist anyone they can (with no age limit -- talk about kids) to fight on street corners with improvised weapons? That's them winning? I'd hate to see them losing.
  5. "The resistance" is citizens fighting with improvised weapons? Where is the Ukrainian army? Did they surrender already? The narrative on Twitter about this war makes little sense.
  6. I see that as part of the Russian response to the banking and SWIFT sanctions.
  7. I really think if he was as deranged and loony right now as is being asserted he'd be destroying Ukraine by shelling Kiev and other cities. Do madmen routinely take great care to avoid civilian casualties and leave the internet and lights on in the country they are invading? The nuclear "readiness" stuff is something the Russians frequently do as saber-rattling. North Korea and Iran do this same thing all the time too. Both sides need to act tough here, but a political solution is being worked in the background for sure. Just calling Putin a moronic crazy person misses the fact that he played the West like a fiddle and will still achieve his objectives. He's more dangerous than just a crazy moron would be.
  8. Pretty sure the obvious way this ends is Zelensky steps aside and a pro-Russian puppet government takes over. That's what we will see soon, IMO. Russia really is being very careful to put pressure on Zelensky without just leveling Ukraine. Look to what Russia did to Chechnya for an example of them taking off the gloves and not caring about civilian casualties. They are close enough to Kiev to be shelling it by now if they wanted. The idea of a sustained war or insurgency is farcical, IMO.
  9. Putin isn't even bombing Kiev but you guys are worried he will use nuclear weapons?
  10. Yeah, I am not too worried about the main groomers for late March/early April unless we have another round of cutters. I can tell you that NNE is pretty thin on depth. It's not just hyperbole. Depths are not good here even at elevation. A week of 60s with some rain would be pretty hard to deal with if we don't get a bunch more snow. Many places in NNE are already down to just the groomed/manmade trails and it's not even March yet.
  11. They don't even have all of their trails open now. We need a lot more snow in NNE to have a good, extended spring. Once the 60s and 70s hit you need a good base on the natural trails. NNE doesn't have that right now anywhere. Maybe they are still blasting through the woods way over there. I doubt it, but maybe.
  12. I am not sure how I am "repeating Russian propaganda" when the facts on the ground are that Putin isn't stopping and seems completely unconcerned with US/EU sanctions and other moves such as SWIFT denial. I mean, clearly he knew these options were on the table. I'm sorry if I am busting the market narrative that this is WWIII that you want to have play out so you can make some bucks. The US/EU need to look long and hard at why they were completely powerless to stop this. I don't think I'm trolling to say that. If you guys want to envision Russia losing and Ukrainian patriots stringing Putin up outside the Kremlin, don't let me stop you. Twitter and Reddit are probably predicting that.
  13. LOL at globalists who made their money solely off of international trade and financial imbalances now wanting harsh sanctions against Russia. That's like building a cannon that bends so far back it is pointed at your house and firing it anyway out of sheer hubris.
  14. When Putin doesn't slow down or stop at all what will you say then? I get that you still think the almighty USD markets still dominate global politics like it's 1980 and cryptocurrencies and the yuan aren't having an impact. These sanctions will hurt the EU and US almost as much as they hurt Russia, but keep pimping them, I guess.
  15. I think you are about to see that the Cold War mentality that this banking and sanctions stuff all still matters has gone out the window.
  16. That's what I do. NNE mid-April to mid or late May is pretty bad. MD much nicer.
  17. Won't stop him at all. He can still bank with China and the Europeans desperately need his oil. He can still raise capital by selling them all the oil they can handle.
  18. Where is their army tho? Russia has one hand behind its back and was outside Kiev in like 24 hours. Zelensky was wrong to say no invasion was imminent. He screwed up big time.
  19. Lot of weird people over there. Hope they stay contained in the zoo.
  20. Don’t bring the OT crew here. Keep it over there. They always mess up these threads.
  21. They are attacking military targets. I am not making excuses for Putin, but the Russians are trying to be careful and it’s on purpose.
  22. Some seem to want to make this out to be WWIII. I have seen very little evidence of mass civilian deaths or damage. There is a lot of propaganda on Twitter from all sides, for sure. Considering Russia has already taken large swaths of the country, the fighting seems rather mild to me so far. If it was worse you’d be seeing a stronger EU response.
