  1. Thought it was a little more NW but not much.
  2. I hope the EPS is correct as the GEFS 6z was much warmer, less of a east coast trough.
  3. Goes to show how massive NYC is. Hopefully there is enough time for this to come further north
  4. A little too tucked for comfort but glad to see something to track.
  5. It's an Ocean City MD winter! They get hit by both systems.
  6. Exactly. That is definitely a cold dry look, but as you said when it lifts out we will get overrunning snows.
  7. Goes to show how much luck plays a part in snowfall. Who would have thought in a moderate la Nina that some areas to the south will end up with above average snowfall to date while we wait for the first inch plus storm. That's usually an El nino issue.
  8. Has to stay weak for us to score (although EURO was pretty robust). Something like Jan 19 2002 would be fitting.
  9. End of GEFS is interesting. This look is probably a result of a large spread. Wish the ridge was on the west coast instead of just off.
  10. February 2017 thundersnow style. We will get hit by something at some point. Like I said not getting at least one moderate event in a season is like not getting a single thunderstorm in spring summer.
  11. I can't believe how bleak this looks. Latest snowfall of 1 inch or greater in Jeopardy, was January 19 2002. Still glad I live there.
  12. I REALLY hope the Euro is correct with the snowstorm as this window of opportunity is extremely tight.
  13. Sometimes I envy Raleigh NC. Springs are awesome and great thunderstorms. Hell when they are in for 1 to 3 inches of snow its like winning the lottery and appreciated way more. For snowfall of course we score more than areas south of us, but it should be looked at at % of normal vs. total when comparing, also the trade off of way better springs than here. We all have weather we can be proud of. Man do we need a good snowstorm to look forward to.
  14. Would be hilarious if we go from RNA keeping the cold west to totally losing the Arctic and getting flooded by an AK vortex. Not calling it just imagining. It will snow this winter again. I liken not getting at least one moderate snowfall in a winter season to not experiencing a single thunderstorm in spring/summer. Almost impossible.
  15. Agree with this except NYC. They had a 16 inch storm and great winter last year.
  16. I think he is getting weenies for ALWAYS pointing out warmer/less snow scenarios, not cause a specific statement is false. If he mixed in a few cold/snow statements once in a while he would be followed.
  17. That's a better look for us than what we have now. The negative NAO RNA combo has been shredding everything. Like I have been saying bigger cutter risk but higher chance of snow from follow up waves since the cutters can now pull cooler air east.
  18. At some point we have to score a storm. This year feels far less hostile than 97/98 or 01/02. However like u said it's the storm track rather than temp.
  19. Was not a fan of the ensembles today but hey, just one day maybe they are back to being better tomorrow.
