    Something has to be done. Having CT divided up amongst 3 forecast offices has been a long standing complaint amongst emergency managers, media, etc. I honestly don't know what the right answer is. If I was king for a day every state would have their own NWS forecast office.

    Yeah 2008. I have a feeling that in the next 5 or 10 years Upton will be forecasting for all of CT. I think it's being talked about as a possibility.

    At first glance at sat imagery (if I knew nothing else) I'd have guessed it's a cat 5. Perfect symmetric buzzsaw that is the CDO.

    There's a serious blue bomb a-transpirin' for some peeps. Perhaps for folks that don't expect it and wonder why they are without power. Serious melting in the layer is gonna produce for some.

    Always so fascinating to watch things unfold like this. I can see the low level strato cu near sfc level in the eye when zooming in now. Pressures continue to fall on my brother's Davis in Fort Myers even though the storm continues to move away.

    I have this piece of sh*t maple tree that partially overhangs the driveway. It's diseased. It keeps cracking with every wind gust but won't come down. I know I'm gonna have to end up cutting it. Just fall!!!!
