    69 and light rain in Balt city - it is glorious.

    That ended up being a heckuva light show and heavy pouring rain in my part of Balt City last night. Best and longest lasting lightning we have had here in quite awhile.

    We've hit that point I get to every summer where...it's just too hot for too long. Just, enough already.

    So I drove out of it to pick up my wife at the airport - as we drove back into downtown from bwi could see some wicked cloud to ground strikes and then as we circled onto MLK drive we hit hail and some winds that shook the car. The hail looked penny sized bouncing off the hood of the car. Pretty sure that was what the SVR warning was for.

    Holy crap - a storm popped up pretty much right over Towson to north baltimore and is just sitting. Was dry here - but now it is not. Wow.

    If so, that's a massive fail in Baltimore area. Socked in with clouds up here.

    Storm round 2 today, round 3 over last two days now for Baltimore area.

    That pop up storm over Baltimore resulted in some shingles being blown off a neighboring building to mine downtown and two of the office windows on my 20th floor blew in. One of them the guy was still there - luckily it was the pane to his side and not the one he was sitting in at his desk... i put a pic on my twitter feed for those who follow it. I still after all these years don’t know how to put pics in here. Because I kinda am terrible at this...

    Kinda shocked this storm bearing down on Balt City isn't severe warned yet.

    Pretty wicked sky just to the west of my bldg in downtown Baltimore.

    Person: The town is in ruins, all buildings are flattened, thousands are dead! EJ: Is everyone dead? Person: What? No, some have survived. EJ: Meh. Next.

    Yup. Missed as well, but, gotta say, was thrilled to miss rain and wind. Still needing things to dry out a bit in my part of the area from the last year's onslaught of moisture.

    Will try - but man the PA turnpike is not a friendly stretch of highway - lanes are so tight etc. my hope would be seeing something about the place there is a rest area (I am stopped at one now).

    I’m driving from philly to Pittsburgh now after having driven up to philly this AM for a meeting - should see some storms maybe on my way across PA...

    <facepalm> yeah, NAM - I know it's range. Wasn't paying attention...two demerits to me. Fingers crossed for something interesting for the drive Friday, too, then.

    This for Friday? I am driving to Lynchburg and back that day - maybe will be in the right spot coming through central VA in the afternoon to see some storms perhaps.
