  1. I am on the 20th floor of my bldg in downtown Balt with a west/sw facing set of windows - pretty clearly can see the precip/snow has started to the southwest - noticed it right about the time that WXUSAF noted the snow obs in Columbia...
  2. Just in case you all missed the update, BaltimoreWX has returned to do something he has NEVER done before and that is to EXPRESS SKEPTICISM UNENDING for this being anything in his neighborhood.
  3. That is because you are correct and he does this EVERY TIME.
  4. The NAM is fully acceptable for the dirt around my house, so I will be hugging that.
  5. YES. Forgot about my ancient enemy - the ground.
  6. Dammit. I should know that by now.
  7. For the record, those of us who live in one of the big cities are fully used to failing in marginal events and lash out and blame everything. Sun, cars, twitter, CAPE, and for sure Carbondale.
  8. Also, I wish there was a way to know at a glance if it is Ji in character or Ji being actually serious when glancing at who made the last post in the long range thread. That's twice this morning I have flinched when I saw last post was him - and it turned out to be ok.
  9. I guess that's me who murmured about sun. Old habit. It always feels like an enemy In the city when every temp feels precious, even if the ultimate path to victory isn't cloud cover dependent.
  10. Got down to 30 at my house, pleasantly surprised by that. More blue sky downtown Baltimore at work at the moment than I was hoping to see.
  11. God bless the NAM. Wasn't it just 24 hours ago on that it was showing nada for the Beltways?
  12. Just found the old thread - according to my notes I had .5 of ice from first part of storm and did make it to 5 inches on second part so it did verify the warning.
  13. I would have to go back and check my notes from the annual thread but my immediate recall is that one also underperformed here inside the 695 beltway.
  14. The Jan 2019 storm was pretty disappointing in balt city - scraped for get to five inches and missed the second part entirely. Really, since Jan 2016 it has been pretty fallow inside the 695 loop...
  15. WHAT IF....the AO/NAO were so ++++++++++++ that they were ACTUALLY SUPER NEGATIVE? You can thank my big brain later.
  16. As a cincy bengals fan, the LSU beatdown of OU and Burrow’s day is the best day I have had as a fan in five years.
  17. Heat off, patio door open - this is like late December when I lived in Memphis.
  18. Went for a short hike to the falls at Rocks State Park with the pup. 54 and rather a lovely day for a walk for the lab to splash around.
  19. Feb. 5 - 8 is our "window". Better cash in then or it's over.
  20. @WxWatcher007 we are soooo close now (re: my above post): Any minute now will be the "by the time we re-shuffle and see where we are at it will be February and our window will be pretty short and we will need to cash in within a few week period". It's coming.
  21. Whenever you post those pics, Katie, I think that looks like the most perfect ceremony ever.
  22. It’s never coming. We are less than 10 days away from the first post noting how hard the pattern will be to break and re-set to something else and that effectively in the beltway regions we are running out of time before March slush season arrives.
  23. On an up note, we will get blocking in mid April so we got that going for us...
  24. North Balt City: 12/11 -- T 12/16 - .5" Season total - .5"
