Yes, a few runs of the GFS & Euro the last few days pulled off a good track, with just cold enough to make it interesting around here, but not a good trend overnight. If they don’t trend back later today, this event will probably not have a chance for us.

Unfortunately, the Euro & GFS are now taking the Sunday low up well to our west, but the Canadian still has hope for snow for northern PA on this 0z run.

If the low tracks under us, I think we have the chance to get at least a rain to snow scenario. It may not be a clean snow storm, but we may be able to put a little snow on the board, but northern & western areas of our thread would be favored.

18z EPS says to still watch the Sunday chance in CTP.

I’m just showing what this run showed. Let’s see what happens The better looks should begin between the 5th & 10th, then roll through February.

This 18z GFS run has another Winter Storm chance on February 3rd. This run ends cold for a good amount of the country & there is energy showing in the southwest.

It’s remarkable that the last few runs of the GFS have basically said “what warmup?” to end the month & through the first week of February.

Heck, we have a chance in 6 days, so that’s my focus for now. The long range does look promising as well once we get towards the end of the first week of February & beyond according to the advertised pattern on the Weeklies.

The Sunday Winter Storm chance is still showing on the Happy Hour GFS.

lol, nope, not during the work week, I usually just get to check in over lunchtime. I help to cover on here the early morning, evening, weekends & overnight if snow is approaching.

Low of 12 in Marysville currently.

6z GFS has snow for northern PA, but has a good High in Ontario. If that High can get out ahead towards Quebec, we could be in business just like the 0z Euro showed.

0z Canadian was wide right at 0z, but has a nice High in Quebec.

0z Euro Op run gets snow to southern PA next Sunday this run thanks to an ideal track & just “cold enough”.

CTP weekly planner mentions the chance of the Sunday coastal.

CTP has a slight chance of a little frozen precip on Tuesday before the flip to rain. Monday Night Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph. Tuesday A slight chance of snow and freezing rain before 10am, then a slight chance of rain and snow between 10am and 11am, then a chance of rain after 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Nothing much showing for the 30/31st on the Op runs yet beyond the chance at a weak Clipper. Maybe we get lucky & have a chance at both.

12z Euro is close for next Sunday night. This run gets snow to the northern half of PA.

The 0z EPS shows some potential in that 28th to 31st potential window.
