    The 0z Euro Control showed how next Sunday could work for a moderate event for much of CTP on the 28th.

    12z GFS currently wide right for the 28th, while the 12z Canadian still says, “what storm?”.

    Yes, models are still all over the place for late January. The Euro has a low on the 28th that jumps to the coast that gets some frozen to CTP. The Canadian has nothing for the 28th, but has the Clipper for the 30th. The 6z GFS has a weaker system on the 28th that gets snow to southern PA. Hopefully today brings us closer to clarity hope that period.

    A low 990s low off of the coast could make it “cold enough” in prime time climo season with some cold nearby to tap.

    Certainly bears watching, especially with those highs to the north, if they trend stronger or slightly further south, even southern PA could be part of the action.

    Yes, it’s nice that long range pattern change tracking actually took place & produced ground truth snow with 3 events in the last 2 weeks.

    It’s 8 days away & close enough to keep an eye on for some small changes. This could morph into an interior wintry event for us, but I-95 could struggle this time.

    GFS & Canadian at 12z still track a low next Sunday off to our south & east. Cold enough air is not too far away & it wouldn’t take much to get those of us in the interior in the game for a wintry event if things work out right.

    MDT got .4 more of snow last night with the streamer to bring their event total to 2.9” of snow. They are above normal snow for the month to date at 9.3, which is 4.3 above the normal of 5.0 in January through yesterday. The seasonal total of 9.3 is now only 1.1 below the normal average seasonal total to date of 10.4” of snow through yesterday’s date.

    Final total here in Marysville after last night’s streamer was 3.9”.

    It was a beautiful snow show last night with that streamer. It delivered another 1 inch here & really was a great end to a Wintry day!

    0z GFS has the 30th coastal storm chance with a low on the Outer Banks of NC.
