  1. My daughter’s softball tournament suddenly ended when a very heavy rain shower moved through around 4 pm today! The heavy rain lasted for almost 1 hour and inundated the fields to make them not playable this evening. Our team was trailing 3-1 in the 3rd inning, but had the bases loaded with just 1 out and the top of the order coming up just as the heavy rain arrived to cancel the game. Half of our team is leaving for vacation tonight or tomorrow, so we were not able to reschedule this week, so we had to forfeit and settle for the 3rd place trophy & bronze medal. The team only lost 1 game during the regular season. They had a great year, but the weather today caused a frustrating ending to this season. The kids had fun this season and really improved with each game, and they are already looking forward to next year!
  2. Thanks! Did you get some decent rain with the very early morning round of showers?
  3. How is the rain chance looking for tomorrow morning through early evening? My daughter’s Softball tournament continues tomorrow. Their Marysville team won all 3 games today and will be in the semifinals tomorrow! Hopefully the weather cooperates!
  4. I am rooting for no rain until late Sunday night! My daughter has her last softball tournament of the year this weekend. It can rain next week!
  5. Lol! I need to try to score 4th place in this thread just like I did in the Spring thread! This will be my first year of consistent year round posting!
  6. .31 of rain in Marysville today so far. Lol…Time to get the mower ready again soon! Sorry, I did not keep count this year. Perhaps next Spring we can get one of our stat guys to maintain a “mow tracker” spreadsheet?
  7. This is from the CTP discussion. “Some showers and a few storms will be ahead and along a cold front on Tuesday. A brief break in the wet weather will be possible on Wednesday, before more showers and storms move into the region late Wednesday into early Thursday. After a dry day on Friday, more wet weather will be possible this weekend, as low pressure forms across the mid Atlantic states on Saturday.”

  10. Where’s the 540 line….? asking for a friend ( @paweather)…
  11. Hopefully you & @Bubbler86 get some rains this week.
  12. Beautiful weather this weekend with no humidity, very pleasant evenings & mornings, and seasonable sunny afternoons. I also enjoyed shutting off my A/C the last few days!
  13. @Voyager would just need to drive 2 hours west to get into the temps that he likes! Lol, keep the heat in western PA.
  14. I’m mowing twice a week in Marysville… Lots of rain chances this week per CTP.
  15. Great looking below normal temperature pattern for the next 10 days. Here is the Euro, GFS & Canadian. Time to rest the A/C & open the windows!
  16. Does anyone remember where the Canyon River Rapids ride was located at Hershey Park years ago? I was trying to place it today, but I couldn’t recall where it used to be at the park.
  17. Today was a beautiful day to spend at Hershey Park with my family. Low humidity with a slight breeze made it ideal for me. It was warm enough for the water park and cool enough to make the lines bearable for the rides. The crowd was a little less than full, so the lines were reasonable, and then it cleared out for the last hour, which meant no wait for the last few rides!
  18. Lol…It Could be due to the lack of trees in Harrisburg because of all of the high winds over the years?
  19. Welcome to Met. Summer everyone. It is the only season in which snow is impossible in this forum. 92 days to go until Met Fall begins…not that I’m counting or anything…
  20. This cold front can’t arrive fast enough! I need some relief from this early heat!
