  1. Great question, I look forward to that time. Maybe @Mount Joy Snowman can give us the answer sometime.
  2. It’s warm, but much better than it would have been if you did yard work yesterday.
  3. Dew point here in Marysville is down to 55 ! Much better than the tropical 70 yesterday.
  4. Sorry to hear that your family was impacted by the storm yesterday. Hopefully all is well soon for them!

  8. I’ll be rooting for rain during the next few weeks. We planted some shrubs in the yard yesterday, so I would like some occasional showers instead of needing to get the hose out to water them!
  9. In other news, my dew point is holding strong at 70.
  10. Good point on the wind…we had one really windy day when I was down there. The rain would make it miserable, especially on the holiday weekend.
  11. I just found my new favorite website… snow-forecast.com Here is their most recent update: SNOW NEWS UPDATED 29 JUNE 2022 INTRODUCTION After the big June snowfalls first in the Andes then Australia and finally New Zealand, over the first three weeks of June, the past seven days (the first of full wintertime by both astronomical and meteorological measures in the southern hemisphere) have been rather quiet for most ski areas around the world with just light snowfall, if any at all, reported for most. That said at least some fresh snowfall was reported on all six continents, up high in the northern hemisphere of course. The biggest snowfalls reported though over the past seven days have been in South America.
  12. Good thing that I’m not in the Outer Banks this weekend! I feel bad for all of the holiday week vacationers down there now. TROPICAL STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT... * LOCATIONS AFFECTED - Kitty Hawk - Nags Head - Manteo * WIND - LATEST LOCAL FORECAST: Below tropical storm force wind - Peak Wind Forecast: 15-25 mph with gusts to 35 mph - THREAT TO LIFE AND PROPERTY THAT INCLUDES TYPICAL FORECAST UNCERTAINTY IN TRACK, SIZE AND INTENSITY: Potential for wind 39 to 57 mph - The wind threat has remained nearly steady from the previous assessment. - PLAN: Plan for hazardous wind of equivalent tropical storm force. - PREPARE: Efforts to protect property should now be underway. Prepare for limited wind damage. - ACT: Act now to complete preparations before the wind becomes hazardous.
  13. My dew point is holding steady at 70. At least it is mostly cloudy here now so it’s not too bad out there yet.
  14. It’s never too early for Winter speculation!
  15. We can do this…! Before you know it, it will be time to start reading Winter previews.
  16. I’ll bet @canderson would take everything except for the wind!
  17. The best thing in that CTP discussion to me is part is that “comfortable humidity” is on the way after today!
  18. Here is more from the CTP discussion. As the air becomes very warm during the midday and afternoon hours, expect scattered strong to severe thunderstorms to develop across the southeast half of the state, along and ahead of the front. Clearing skies, dry weather and lower humidity will move into the northern and western part of the state during the mid to late afternoon hours. The rest of the holiday, including the Fourth of July will be pleasantly warm with comfortable humidity as high pressure builds over the region.
  19. We definitely had at least a light shower overnight, but nothing measurable in my rain gauge.
  20. The good news for me is that we have less than 2 months of Met. Summer to go!
  21. My current dew point is 70 in Marysville. This is truly my least favorite weather of the year….and it is not even close!
  22. CTP seems confident of storm chances today.
