  1. Thanks, yes we plan on going to the Wright Brother’s museum. We are also going to Roanoke to see the “Lost Colony” show on Tuesday evening. We enjoy mixing in some historic sightseeing on our vacations.
  2. Thanks so much for this great information! Hopefully we can try some of these places.
  3. Lol, I might need to see if I can bribe @sauss06 to see if he can make the short trip up the road to Marysville to mow my yard! I would buy him a case of beer…lol! My lawn might be 1 foot tall by the time I get back after the 2 inches of rain last night!
  4. Good morning everyone! My family & I are on the way to the Outer Banks today for vacation this week. We are staying in Kill Devil Hills, NC. Does anyone have recommendations for places to visit or restaurants to go to down there? I haven’t been down there since I was a kid. Thanks in advance!
  5. No hail here, but the rain & thunder & lightning are putting on a show!
  6. My rain gauge is moving rapidly! 1.79 and counting!
  7. Yes, this lightning is very impressive! It looks like daylight outside when the strong lightning hits.
  8. They just canceled the Tornado Warning. Very heavy rain with Thunder & Lightning now in Marysville.
  9. How close to Marysville is the rotation that you are seeing?
  10. 2 Tornado Warnings for me already this season…. Hopefully it’s another miss for my neighborhood.

  12. MDT is 1.2 degrees Above normal for the month through yesterday. The warm temperatures are winning so far this month.
  13. My daughter’s softball tournament suddenly ended when a very heavy rain shower moved through around 4 pm today! The heavy rain lasted for almost 1 hour and inundated the fields to make them not playable this evening. Our team was trailing 3-1 in the 3rd inning, but had the bases loaded with just 1 out and the top of the order coming up just as the heavy rain arrived to cancel the game. Half of our team is leaving for vacation tonight or tomorrow, so we were not able to reschedule this week, so we had to forfeit and settle for the 3rd place trophy & bronze medal. The team only lost 1 game during the regular season. They had a great year, but the weather today caused a frustrating ending to this season. The kids had fun this season and really improved with each game, and they are already looking forward to next year!
  14. Thanks! Did you get some decent rain with the very early morning round of showers?
  15. How is the rain chance looking for tomorrow morning through early evening? My daughter’s Softball tournament continues tomorrow. Their Marysville team won all 3 games today and will be in the semifinals tomorrow! Hopefully the weather cooperates!
  16. I am rooting for no rain until late Sunday night! My daughter has her last softball tournament of the year this weekend. It can rain next week!
  17. Lol! I need to try to score 4th place in this thread just like I did in the Spring thread! This will be my first year of consistent year round posting!
  18. .31 of rain in Marysville today so far. Lol…Time to get the mower ready again soon! Sorry, I did not keep count this year. Perhaps next Spring we can get one of our stat guys to maintain a “mow tracker” spreadsheet?
