CAA winds delivering more than yesterday here.
-
Nearby PWS 3 day total at about 2.71.
-
2.5" nearby PWS storm total so far. Light rain and 59.
-
Storm total since early last night 2" on nearby PWS.
-
.92 at the closest PWS about 1/8 mile away from my house in Enfield. Radar likes western 1/2 of ct in the short term with more dry slotting E. I'm down just west of HVN right now, winds are strong but not damaging and rain is moderate.

More inches of rain in December than inches of snow possible a brief EF0 or 2 could happen PWAT the heck
Mets were discussing PWAT's yesterday at possibly record levels to illustrate how impressive this tropical moisture feed is going to be. I haven't analyzed real closely but it looks like some of the meso models are trying to shift the heaviest axis of precip a bit further west into areas of Western New England and adjacent Eastern New York.

Started a Grinch storm thread.

Another year, another Grinch. Have at it.

Radar looks shredded east of the river in ct, hopefully the deform doesn't rot to the west and north for a while than weaken or fall apart as it pivots through to the east

I think occasionally you will see a joking or prodding comment in good humor but you need to be able to separate that from the person's actual analysis. I think the general analysis has been pretty clear regarding a relax and probable reload late in the month, perhaps we get a little good luck to make up for some bad luck with a gradient type pattern near the holidays. Seems like some in here want to argue just for argument's sake.

Is Mitch missing this?
Someone posted earlier in the thread that he was away for work, if so that sucks.

Seems like most local TV, radio, NWS were too conservative with snowfall amounts along the east slopes of the Berks, particularly in Franklin County MA. Many forecasts for the Northern Berks were 1-5, 2-6 highest above 1500. Hawley, Rowe, Charlemont area got about a foot.

Saw a couple of wet flakes mixed in with the heaviest rain as low as 200 feet in Chicopee earlier. Congrats up north!!

Definitely thankful for this board. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Didn't pass through dry in this part of Enfield. Just got back home looks like a light coating on some colder surfaces/car tops and some wet roads turning a bit slick in spots.
-
Pretty icy here as well, almost fell on my a** takin the garbage out, ended up doing the uncomfortable splits. Pack is down to piles. Oh well nice start anyways congrats up north.

Topography is always an issue with the weenie when trying to maximize snowfall. Most of the general public doesn't pay attention to the fine details like we do. 100ft makes a small difference in this area, but not anything most would catch without the trained eye. The more noticeable differences tend to occur around here when you hit the escarpment zones that climb at least 500 ft on either side of the valley.
