Agree.
But that AO can change over time as well...that’s not a feature that is static over the whole winter to come. Although it sure seems like it’s been like that more than not.
I’m not quite as down on the season as perhaps you are Luke(expecting a normal, or close to normal snow season for us), but I agree for the most part with your idea of very low expectations and Zero investment.
Yes, said this two days ago..bring the rain. The snow was a long shot for sure. Don’t need it now. I agreed with you, keeping the expectations low on this for sure was wise.
Well you both could be in Northern Maine...you’d both have to drive another 5 hrs north/northeast.
Now That should make you guys feel like your pretty far south...lol.
Ya I’m not thinking you need the blower just yet...unless this thing roars back on guidance tomorrow, which is always a possibility obviously? And whatever you get it will melt fast in the days following.
No weenie there...that’s the real deal for me. Bring the rain. And honestly there is not a bit of reverse psychology in that at all. Mid November and I’d be rooting for snow all the way. Let’s get the leaves down and cleaned up..then it can snow.
I’d give it to at least Wednesday before even thinking about that generator Ice. You got plenty of time to see how this looks...?? Could be just a cold rain too?
Yup, It was a war zone here...poles snapped and transformers down..trees broken everywhere. 95% of town with no power. School cancelled for a week. A total mess.
Yes.
But it was supposed to start as rain, and rain for quite a while Outside of elevated areas. But it didn’t rain at all. Ryan had to keep coming on the air and keep upping the amounts almost every half hour as it just kept accumulating on everything.
But it was forecast right up to start time to start as rain outside of the highest elevations here in interior CT in 2011, and then change to snow hours later in the afternoon. But it started as snow right from the start. And it stuck immediately. Caved everything in...major damage everywhere here.
Let’s just be realistic...it’s gonna be rain for most of us in SNE for the most part(and we can still use it). And I’m actually just fine with that. Don’t need any snow yet here imo. So the mundane 18Z GFS is ok with me.
I’ll gladly take 2-3 inches of rain...keep the snow in NNE, or CNE like it’s showing now.
Give em some Prestone 50/50 pre mix...that’ll keep em from freezing up.
Lol, sorry Dendy I couldn’t resist the whole winterize thing. No offense implied.
