Ya it’s not very stable anymore at all. But the take away is this is still changing big time..its just another solution. In actuality, it’s better to not expect much in SNE at this point...I think the odds are we see mostly rain from all of this, than anything else. But Maybe we’ll be pleasantly surprised come Tuesday on modeling? But I’m doubtful currently.

Nah...it’s just one run of many more to come, and many more possible solutions as well. The next run will show something else..it’s that kind of winter. Do yourself a favor, and don’t get hooked on any one look. You’ll be happy you did come Tuesday/Wednesday.

Both of these. Man DIT is ready for the padded room. Feb gives us the most snow, and March more snow than December..and he’s talking about a Trace melting in the sun on February 1st..? it would melt on December 21st just as easy. Guy definitely needs a winter hobby other than watching models on a weather forum.

I don't agree with you on some of what you said...but we can agree to disagree my friend, it's all good. So enough of the climate talk, and on to our weather... So lets just hope that Feb can give us some love/snow to salvage the season.

All good points... But there is such a little sample size when it comes to climate. Climate has been changing for thousands of years..Tens of thousands. We've been keeping records for just over a hundred lol. It's so hard to say what the deal is...except that climate is always changing over time.

Why do the models lately...especially with the last couple storms(this one has been especially bad with this flip flopping) show a jump in one direction, only to go back the other way so drastically the very next run? And at very short lead times. IMO this is very odd, and not what used to happen in most cases.

I don’t know about a solid 8 wks...that might be a LIL bit of a stretch? But a solid 6 weeks for sure.

I get your frustration completely. And it’s Easy to just throw up your hands and give in to futility. But when you think about things a little more rationally, Feb hasn’t even started yet..and it feels a lot later than it really is-cuz we’ve had so little snow since winter started. But there really is a whole second half of winter yet to get through...so to say there will be no more Accumulating snow is rather silly and foolish when one lives in SNE, on January 30th. But Where we’ve been, and where we are currently, it sure seems like we could go the next 6 weeks without anymore accumulating snow..so I get your frustration completely. Cuz I’m feeling it too. But I do think we’ll see something pop for us at some point in this second half.

Yup...the only problem is, they never make it to verification this year. Everything looks exciting/interesting at 6-8 days, then slowly but surely sh*ts the bed as we draw closer. But who knows...maybe this is the time things start to verify?

I'll take the 60F for a thousand Alex.....better chance of the warmth happening than the snow this season. But we can hope for the snow and 20F.

But that's what he has on the season total. So what he's saying is he's at normal snowfall to date for the season.

You have a whole nother half of Astronomical winter to go....It'll make or break your forecast for sure. I hope it works out for you for sure.
