Cheshire is a nice town…nicely located. Good schools, and athletics. But Come north 8-10 miles, and settle In SOUTHINGTON…it’s even better here. Great schools….and fabulous athletics!

We’ll that’s the point..first half…May through first half of June can be dicey if you’re looking for real summertime, that’s the only point being made. And None of us had a problem being in a pool in June growing up..cuz we were kids. Lol.

This is my point. Thanks. And I’m not complaining(Davis saying I’m complaining), just saying the way it is most years. Sure some years ya get the real warmth to come in earlier, and it’s great. But not usually.

I’m ready too. And yes, Monday will blow chow. If we had a chance at some wintry weather with that cold, I agree it would be different. But we don’t, and who needs/wants that crap now..nobody. And yes, most of the weather between now and mid June will be lousy. We’ll have our nice days, and some warmth/heat will make appearances, but a good chunk of it will not be to good…like today is right now.

THIS. And thank you. Everybody rushing seasons all the time. May and first half of June are cool and wet much more on average than not. But cuz a few think otherwise they’ll force it down everybody else’s throat. Not buying any of that BS. Anyway…shitty afternoon here..raining/drizzle and a cool 50 degrees.

I disagree a lot. Some years yes. Some years it’s horrible. Period! I was a lifeguard for 10yrs…some years it(June)was great. Some years June was horrible. Also played softball for 30 plus years…and most years ya freeze in the early evening playing in May and early June…more often than not that was/is the case. Everybody has their own ideas, and that’s fine. But I’ve worked and played in so many cool wet May’s and June’s, I can’t even count. Sure, some years it’s warm hot, but many times no. That’s my experience. But if others feel differently, that’s fine. Just as some will say this winter was very good…cuz for some out east and SE it was a very good winter…but not for all/or not for a lot of us. But if it was good where you happen to live, then you feel differently than I do about this winter. We all have our own experiences, which shape our views of things/weather. So if some think late May and June is mostly warm, that’s cool. I’ve experienced otherwise many many times.

For those with pools…ya don’t open em til mid June, many times can’t swim in them for another couple weeks most times after that. And ya close em early, maybe mid September at the latest most times. There’s your 2.5 to 3 months. Sure there will be a few more hot days thrown in, but the feel is different, and you know it’s over. Like we feel in mid March about the winter. Cuz like Gynx said, once the sun starts losing its punch, it’s over. And the first few dry leaves start falling and mucking it(the pool) up.

Are you serious? I can remember most memorial days my whole dam life(I’m 54), being cloudy and cool here, than not. And I live in a much better place at that time of year, of it being warm and sunny than you do. That’s why. Ya sure, there have been a few that have been hot and humid/sunny. But not usually. Not even close..not even here WOR.
