Funny thing is I remember the 2011, the 2000 and 1992 ones well. The other ones I wasn’t alive for- they were before I was born. (Of course I didn’t know they were Rex Block systems lol). But I remember them well.

Also OP runs 7 days out...? I know let’s discuss them for sure, but to get all bent out of shape because an op run 7 and 10 days out shows something you don’t like is just silly imo. Do I think that could happen to us this season...sure. But to get upset a week out is crazy.

Yes around here cuz it doesn’t get a whole lot colder than the -30’s(which is plenty brutal). But -60 on up is just insane, and you’d know the difference between that and -20 imo real quick.

What needs to change out west to work with that -NAO/AO combo? Better ridging out west/Rockies Ridge/+PNA?

Lol...there’s a few of those poorly understood phenomena floating around the meteorological world, that some of these Twitter METS seem to hype. So glad I’m not on any of that sh*t, and don’t see any of that garbage.

Nobody can say...they’ve all been wrong. Just wait and see. It’s really that simple. Why would anybody believe any long term modeling this year...cuz as you’ve stated they can’t get anything right outside 5-7 days. At some point you’d have to think something has to break favorable...being were only two days past mid January, right? Or it’ll be worse than ‘12 and go down in infamy. That’d be extreme, just not in the way we’d all like.

In ‘69 they didn’t see it coming either lol. Nobody sees that coming. It just lines up and happens ever once in a great while. Of course I’m not predicting that to happen this year...but I think you know what I mean. But Ya, it sucks currently..big time.
