  1. Ahhh ok. Yes.. I’m at 12.8” on the season. So that would be correct. Thought it was snow pack. Thanks for the clarification.
  2. Lmao…ya I was like what’s that garbage? Had 5.5” on the ground for about a half a day back on 2/28. That was the extent of the pack.
  3. Not so green here…but the south coast is a different world than here this time of year. Then when it gets warm(potentially next weekend)..stay away from the south coast(10 miles or so), or you’ll freeze your ass off. Told my buds that many times on our Harleys to not go to close to the coast…in April and early May..cuz you’ll freeze your balls off.
  4. I’ll be gone..come home the next day…but it looks great.
  5. Great post. Yes I’d have to agree with everything you said. It was a great place to grow up, and it still is as you said. And yes, it can be plenty wintry and extreme here when the storms come in and track right. Ya Feb 13 was incredible…30-40 inches in this area. Imo, it was that storm(Nemo Feb 13) that was the equivalent or even then some to blizzard of 78 here. Nemo had more snow, but ‘78 had bigger drifts. But both were incredible and extreme events…so memorable for sure. Glad you shared that you grew up here.. And yes…the food/restaurants in this area are superb. Many to choose from and most are really at the top of their game. It can spoil you. I love NNE/Maine, especially where I go sledding, but as you said, the restaurants/food can’t even hold a candle to this area..it is a disappointment in that regard. But it’s all trade offs in the end as we all know.
  6. Lmao..I tried to use little in my follow up post.
  7. Oh ya I realized that….your place looks gorgeous. And yes, much larger for sure. was just commenting on the close local idea…so fortunate in that regard. Wow…I didn’t know you were familiar with this area. Actually Mount Southington is bigger and a little more expansive than powder ridge…but they’re both great little local spots. Mount Southington actually has quite a good ski race team and following.
  8. Looks beautiful. We have a local ski area in our town too…can’t beat the convenience, and we grew up with it, and the town(and surrounding towns) still love it. Everybody learned to ski there in our town. So many good times they’re growing up. So I can understand what you mean completely. Ours just closed this week…they had a dam good year despite the horrid winter here. I’m glad for them.
  9. This was overnight Thursday night when they got the 6+ inches..grooming and looking superb. Been snowing all day today..they’re expecting about 10” when it’s done. So ya…it should be dam good.
  10. Oh ya…things really seemed to line up! They needed a lil refresher, and they got two good events…one still going. And cold temps to boot…low to mid teens at night, mid 30’s during the day…and the day I go up it 20’s during the day. So ya..gonna ride for sure. Looking very forward to it.
  11. Being a winter weather enthusiast…Im Not to worried …nobody should be. NNE snowing to beat the band at the moment. And in SNE…it should be getting nice at this time of the year. Everything as it should be.
  12. Looks beautiful Freak! Winter hasn’t left the north yet…
  13. Yup…winter storm warning on going in N. Aroostook..6-10”’ for them. Very wintry week coming up there.
  14. Attach a chainsaw type motor or two on it with a prop I believe.or small lil outboard type thing.
  15. Sporting Club In Sinclair is going to try and break the world record for an ice carousel on Saturday April 1st. With all the snow and wintry vibe this upcoming week, that should be a fun time up there.
  16. Depends where the Nino is centered and how strong…it could suck too. Let’s hope not.
  17. Yes sir!! On top of the 6+ they just got Thursday and Thursday night. Heading up for one last hurrah early Thursday. Think we might hit it right.
  18. Nope..but for almost everyone. You and a few others got lucky. on to next year for the rest of us have nots.
  19. As I mentioned…it finds every way not to produce anything. It’s utterly incredible. Gotta be a record(obviously because it’s the worst season in history here I’d imagine) in its own right.
  20. Agreed Ray…great way to look at it. I’m just amazed at this seasons ability to find a way not to produce. It’s used and exhausted every way imaginable. Remarkable. We’ve deposited a lot of cash this season with this Rat, that’s for sure.
  21. Yup..they’re in line for a good dump. And right on the heels of Thursdays 6” too. Good for me cuz I’m heading up early Thursday. I Should time it right.
  22. Again…a RAT to the bitter end. What a Piece Of Shit this winter truly is. Not one thing can workout. Not one. Unreal how consistent it is. Whatever could go wrong, always has. Even the law of averages can’t even compete with this King of all Rats…it just keeps right on going. I guess you almost have to respect its incredible consistency not allowing it to snow in SNE this season…a feat in and of itself, that’s not easy to do for a whole winter season and then some. Truly remarkable in that regard.
  23. Ya I’d say so….and looks to have a decent high to the north this time. And do I see a 50/50 low out there too?
  24. So is the front runner Monday? Or is Monday something else?
  25. Can we take the CC talk to banter for the 5th time…geez. Who gives a flying F. It’ll be snowing long after you’re all dead…Bank on it.
