  1. Moderate/heavy now…and picking up nicely. Grass covered.
  2. I must say, Radar looks quite nice upstream…we’ll see what happens? Snow and 29 degrees.
  3. I’m happy with .4-.5 qpf..that’ll yield a decent snowfall. And that’s all I want. It already canceled school for me tomorrow..so it’s all good for me.
  4. Yup..it’s overkill. Gotta filter it out. Use common sense and real meteorology to lead the way. Instead of falling prey to the windshield wiper affect as many do.
  5. Thank you. I’m about done with this POS! Let’s see how it plays out now. Modeling all over the place for days and days. Ridiculous. I’m liking the .4-.5 of precip here…that’ll yield 4-6” if that’s even true. Who knows and quite honestly I don’t care anymore. And If the GFS can’t get this right 6-8 hrs out from go time…that thing should be retired with the NAM. It’s Nowcast time…put these models to bed now.
  6. No zoom here. State(CT) said no more zoom on snowdays! People flipped out last year when they tried it. It sucked. Snowdays are back to snowdays here…thank goodness.
  7. Our superintendent announced at 300 pm that we’d be closed tomorrow. He got caught yesterday morning with the ice here that was super bad, so we knew he’d cancel today for tomorrow’s snow, due to the extreme heat he took yesterday for not delaying due to the treacherous conditions yesterday morning.
  8. It was the late January 2011 one(the second monster that month). It came together at the last minute and croaked us hard!!
  9. I was just meaning the robbing of the moisture from it chasing any convection off shore that’s all. If it doesn’t chase..it gets going quicker and closer, and the conveyors don’t get impeded…right?
  10. I don’t know, maybe it’s me m, but the stuff off Florida looks anemic for sure, and our storm taking shape over Tennessee is looking quite healthy and robust…thinking that may bode in our favor going forward…?
