    Who said wintry? Nobody said wintry. It shouldn’t be wintry in early November anyway. C’mon, you’re getting silly now. It’s been a fantastic autumn. We’ve had some of everything. Pretty much everybody has had a frost. A lot of us have had freezes. Nothing fake about it having at least a half dozen frosts, and a few freezes. Hopefully your peppers are still alive. You’re about the only one, or two who hasn’t frosted/or froze.

    What an autumn…best of our lives. Frosts and freezes at night a few times a week. A few days of crisp autumn temps each week, then a few days of temps that rebound back into the 70’s each week. And every day sunny. I mean, what’s not to like? Its the best of all worlds. Just a Sensational fall for SNE. Let’s keep it going.

    He’s in the incubator over there lol. 27 here…froze good. Was 31 here at 1:00 am, so a many hrs under freezing. Coldest morning yet here.

    Good point. Sometimes you look at them early and they look good. Then a few hrs later, they start to show the damage.

    Even with the warmth..we’ve had a lot of cold nights here this autumn. Which has felt nice.

    All our summer flowers got killed in the frost a few weeks back unfortunately. Lucky for you.

    When we say growing season..we mean gardens..not lawns. Gardens have been done here for a few weeks. Some areas the gardens I guess are still growing, like Tolland and S Wey.

    Under 32 is a freeze lol. But Maybe you can go the whole winter without a freeze? Now that would be something.

    Great explanation Bulldog. Ya…it’s been sunny, dry and gorgeous for almost 11 weeks now. Incredibly stable pattern for sure. But as you say…it’s a really good time for this to happen. In fact, let it persist for another 3-4 weeks to be honest. By that point, we’ll be pushing 14-15 weeks(almost 4 months) of the same pattern. I mean how much longer can that last? Something’s gotta give..and we might be right at a good point when it does…?

    Ain’t it nice to be in the country, instead of that concrete jungle. 42 here currently. You absolutely need to get out of where you live Anthony. I could never do it.

    After thanksgiving is when it usually starts to happen anyways, more often than not. So we good.

    Hear ya. It’s all relative. Well, look at the hurricane season forecast. All signs pointed to a very active year, and the forecast was for just that. What a flop that official forecast was. Ya just don’t know, and I guess that’s still the fun part. Take care J Paul.

    Lol..so you’re calling for maybe one winter storm this winter? We’ll see how that works out come April 1st. As good a call as any on 11/2. 11-12 only had one winter storm… if we don’t count the Octobomb.

    All we’ve had has been nice weather for the last 10 plus weeks Paul. Where have you been. Today is gorgeous… just not 78 degrees.

    It’s fact. Not a try. Did you expect it to stay as wet as we’ve been the last year plus? It was bound to dry out..and in a big way, and here we are.

    Correct. What is forgotten many times, is that the extremes are what produce the normals. It was extremely wet for a long while..it’s evening itself out now with this current dry period, and as you said it’s basically normal now in the means.

    Nobody is saying that it wasn’t hot….but it runs high. You’re not gonna convince me it isn’t. Last week it was 5 hotter than here. Today it was 6 plus hotter. Give me a break. And Bakersville in the hollow is dead nuts on too when they read 18, and everybody else in the area is 28-30….

    Sure BDL will be 82-84, everybody around em will be 75-76. But ok.
