    Agreed, The first snow is ridiculous. And if the ground is white…it’s a white Xmas. As far as the NWS goes with the one inch idea, I think that’s fair for weather purposes. But if your ground is white at your house, you got a white Xmas imo.

    Has been a decent December for both of us…good cold(frigid the last few days), and very close to normal snow for me, and above normal for you there. Not a bad start.

    I get that some got shut out…And it’s been a loss for some, and I feel for those. Fresh snow here on Xmas eve…ensuring a white Xmas, and very close to normal snow for December at my locale, with some good cold, and frigid temps the last 4 days. I can’t complain. Hopefully we all get the major system we are looking for in January. Merry Xmas boys!

    It was a frozen crusting here but had some white cover in alot of spots left over from Friday. This is just covering that up and freshening it up.

    Ya that might be little too cold imo. I know Van Buren, ME has had -50f in the early 2000’s I believe. But that’s an ice box up there. I’ve seen -35 on my truck a few times being up there…And it’s brutal. Truck/machinery start making sounds you’ve never heard before. Edit: maybe that’s where it was Big Black River, ME. Thanks Jeff. But Van Buren is a pit too.

    I remember that one, came in(started)very early in the morning on Saturday the 17th(1:30-2:00 am), and we did pretty decent here with between 7-8” when it finished up in the afternoon.
