  1. We all know this…some folks just like to hype nonsense.
  2. It’s a Joke! Unless it goes into eastern NY..it’s a joke here.
  3. Hey…I’d love a real ripper. Bring it! Bring it all! This guy isn’t wishing anything away. So don’t lump me in with that nonsense. Im just being realistic…we won’t have anything damaging here imo. Southeast CT, south shore, Cape…sure. Inland WOR it’ll be a yawner most likely.
  4. Maybe…but seems a little too much in the opposite direction from last year..almost forced. But good for him.
  5. That’d be a nice way to get back into the game, after almost two years of shit…
  6. He’s off in the completely opposite direction from before…a lil much, and certainly over compensating in a big way.
  7. Big time. What a joke that NAM is. I’m sure the usual Twitter METS will pimp that up big time…but it’s complete BS.
  8. Not really…what are you looking at?
  9. Oh ya I agree..if it goes west. But that’s a big if still. What he meant was, that these, and most storms of late, are modeled up in the high end of things, and then little by little they come back down to more run of the mill type stuff..that’s what he meant. Unless you get inside of 2.5-3 days, and it’s still showing a beast..well then maybe we have something here. Let’s see what 12z brings us today?
  10. Take the under bud(except the coast/cape)…this will continue to be less impressive as we close in…just like last week. I’ll be the first to admit if I’m wrong. I have zero problem doing that. But as Tip lamented, these systems the last few years always seem to get much less “eye opening”, shall we say, as we close in.
  11. We’ll have to see how this progresses…the last one looked impressive too, and morphed to pretty much nothing wind wise. This has time to do the same. If it’s still looking impressive for you guys out east tomorrow night and Sunday morning…maybe it’s game on for you eastern folks.
  12. Imo It’ll tame down as it usually does. We’re still 3 days out, it’ll morph some more.
  13. Lol…largest most intense in 10 yrs? Really? Holy smokes what hype. Wow.
  14. Cape Cod followed you….lol. it’ll change. Just a lousy cycle currently.
  15. So much volatility…next run will be different yet again. I guess it’s better than each run being boring. Let’s see what the all to wonky 18z suite shows?
  16. This probably won’t even end up anything like what we’re seeing currently….lots to resolve yet…and modeling of late has been pretty volatile. Who knows what this morphs into by mid next week?
  17. Above zero is more like it…probably like 4-5 degrees with big wind. Brutal.
  18. Yes sir, me too, or I would have remembered that for sure. Probably a dusting if that here..
  19. Oh ya…I remember the 1980 frigid snap very well…brutal. But I don’t remember any significant snow on Xmas of 81?? Usually that stands out in my mind..must have been very minor here.
  20. I don’t remember any December 81 snow here…must have been an eastern SNE thing of course….
  21. Off hr runs always have different/odd/bizarre stuff going on, more often than not. ECMWF should get rid of the 18z and 6z crap imo.
  22. We got one storm last year that dropped a 6” spot here….the rest that brought us up to a whopping 12.3” for the season total, came from 1/4” here, 1.5” there, 1.75” here, 2” there, etc …what a disaster.
  23. Yes, ”97-98” was the super nino.
