  1. Ya we would. That is not happening though. That’s a clown map if ever there was one.
  2. Lol…we can’t get dynamic cooling to save our life this year, but 700 miles south will? Ya that ain’t happening.
  3. I love when folks say congrats Carolinas…I mean I realize that means it’s way south of SNE, but if we have no cold air for that system, how could they? I mean I guess they get a rainstorm out of it, and we stay dry.
  4. Not here it isn’t…overcast and damp cool 42 degrees..sucks.
  5. Not to nice out there now..sun gone and breezy. Too warm to snow, too cold to be enjoyable. Sucks.
  6. Wait til 18z…those off hr runs are always good for something bazaar one way or the other.
  7. Yup..for sure. Only 19 degrees currently in St.Agatha.
  8. No slush in N. Maine…further south maybe?
  9. Do you think we can pull off a warning event between now(2/5) and the end of March?
  10. I don’t think so? If you look at Providence their 2005 storm was Jan 21-22. Boston’s 2003 is January 17-18. Then that would mean they had two monsters in a 3-4 day period in 05…that didn’t happen.
  11. Ya this arctic blast is definitely impressive and historic. And yes the GFS sucked with it for sure. Be nice to get a legit threat to track too though.
  12. Ya, it’s a shell of its former self unfortunately. Sad.
  13. Well, just like 2016 this winter sucks ass(at least so far), but just like that winter we have a historic cold outbreak(very short lived as ‘16 was too) in a sea of warmth. That winter did feature a historic mid Atlantic monster blizzard, that did clip parts of SNE with decent snow at least. So the question begs to be asked, will this horrid winter at least feature one good snow event as that total clunker did? We can hope.
  14. That wasn’t my point. Let me be more clear, the point is it was said that this monster cold would not happen. It was said we needed to take 30 degrees off of the temps and then it may be more realistic. Those calls were flat out wrong. I don’t see these folks in here admitting they got it wrong? And also folks said it was meh…it was certainly not meh. Instead Record breaking for many. So yes, the winter has been warm and snowless, but that wasn’t the point here. A record breaking cold outbreak(that was touted not gonna happen), amidst a sea of warmth has indeed happened.
  15. That’s his default response to everything .
  16. Isn’t that thing horrible? And it’s usually very warm all the time…no?
  17. Don’t bother….they have agendas…pushing warmth constantly. Boston sets new record of -10F this morning, along with absolutely brutal windchill. But some called it meh.
  18. Don’t bother… he gone. He’s gone most every event, but this year he’s jumped off the Tobin long ago.
  19. The persistence idea has blinded some folks badly. When something(a particular model run) looks good, they see the same thing…warmth/rain. Blinded by the horror to date, is not objective reasoning for looking ahead. Doesn’t mean the 0z Euro will verify, but I don’t how one can call that a bad look for SNE? Some broken weenies not seeing things correctly.
  20. Well that’s a month away for you NYC guys, and us SNE folks too. A month is quite a chunk of time, in the heart of winter, and the snowiest month of the year(Feb), to say no more snow for most folks south of NNE. Those predicting that and going with the persistence idea, are starting to play with fire imo.
  21. That’s even a lil more insane lol…but I don’t think we’d be able to tell the difference between-55 and -59 . Super impressive.
  22. Look at Madawaska at the top of Maine…-55F Wind chill! Just wow.
