everytime I look out of my office window there's a new precip form or combo thereof.
I think it's mostly snow here now. Need pound town, get it while the gettins good.

Yikes. I haven’t really paid attention to ground temps tbh.
Idk the accuracy of em but simulated radars keep the sleet/zr to the southeast.

Because we can’t help ourselves! LOL
Has anyone else noticed ground temps? I'm 4° warmer than my forecasted high.

Wow, 12z NAM & GFS shows if you're not NW of I-71 you're in big trouble
Add the hi-res rgem in that too.

I agree with you about it staying snow if it hits as heavy snow, but I can't discount the possibility of a classic Central Ohio bust. It's happened too many times with too many heartbreaks. The fact that the first round has mostly missed to the west is a bad sign.
I actually didn't do bad here in knox county with round 1. It was snowing fairly hard at 8am and I'd say we got around 2" from the first round and I'm further east than you guys.

Yeah hence why I replied to Gino.
But you also replied to me. That reply of his was replying to me. You know what? This is stupid lol. I'm gonna refrain from us sounding like children any longer.

This is definitely a sleet sounding for sure.
It's also not my location.

I know how to read and no matter how marginal it is thats a decently deep section of the atmosphere near or slightly above freezing. You don't need some honking warm layer at +2 or greater to get sleet. Not sure why you are defensive of an explanation as to why you are going to get sleet.
Was defensive because of the "read a sounding" maybe you don't realize it but most here "hey idiot, read something" lol. It's all good.

yup, 25 years plus with some of us.
2006 here. Back when it was EasternUS. I know you were on the boards even before Eastern.

That’s below 850.
Go read again. I posted the sounding. Again, dont buy it. Right directly on the line. Id bet money my location sees less than 1/10" of sleet

Rgem held and that’s about it. Gfs puts everyone near I-71 in the danger zone. I can feel this one slipping away...
Like Pondo said, gonna be globals vs Americans. I usually strictly stick with models, but gut is telling me to not believe this sleet storm stuff american models are pushing.

Rgem holds
Hope so. Not updated in Bell yet. But yea it hits me hard.

So far, HRRR isn't horrible but still about 8-12hrs out of its good range.. wrf both good, sref good. Onto GFS and RGEM.

Don't worry, the GFS will come in and be a Benzo.
I guess just never seen such cold wanna be half sleet. Not when the path the low follows is in cold air the entire time. But hell, learn something new all the time. OH is about as bad as Florida is for snow(sarcasm obviously)

I'm not a met, but I can see that no temps reach above 0 that far north, and temps stay in 20s on ground, so this model is just garbage to me. Something isn't right.

Like what's up with it? Are mets tossing it?

Back to trash here. Doubting Thursday storm too. Same outcome I'd guess.
