airports, climate sites, i am assuming are clearing every 6? I notice they are usually higher in these big events than surrounding reports that are taking one depth measurement (most of them anyway).
BDR just came in with 20
Is the V5 experimental going to overtake the current version 4.3? I noticed its significantly lower in the snowfall mean than the operational in almost every event.
I've been looking back at a lot of high wind blizzards...2015..2022 etc and noticed 30-70:1 ratios at the climate sites based on those liquid totals. Shame because its obviously wrong.
Skews the overall climate data
Just like the Jan 25-26th big storm i wanted to create a thread just for final snowfall totals. It's easier for me to collect data as well. I post all the final snowfall totals maps in here as well from NWS.
This is the current one, keep in mind these reports are old.
That was one of the most brutal beat downs ive ever witnessed. 3.8" under a ws warning. But dont worry it happened again on Mar 21st with 2". Good winter but some really bad busts in there
Every storm he complains and whines when he doesnt jackpot, or do as well as his neighbors. Doesnt matter if its 18" or 40"
Imagine being near 60" before March 1 and saying its an F winter with near continuous snowpack.
yep, you got wind so lots of drifting + old snow on the ground which a lot of public will be measuring through, i guarantee it. Prob where that 40" report came from + driftage.
