Who is doing that?
No one in particular here, but I just have to laugh when people get into arguments about the long range, like this guy everyone keeps posting about (Webb). It changes drastically every 6 hours.

Just my opinion, but anyone who uses the models to make any sort of forecast over 7 days must be out of their minds. The swings have been wild.

As long as we aren't above the upper 50s for highs I'm okay. The last couple of years have been too warm.
I remember last year being very cold at Thanksgiving.- 1

I don’t recall any kind of torch in Dec 2013, but living in DC proper, winter didn’t start until right after the new year. Those events were not really measurable where I was. Very nice for other areas though.
Boy, what a winter that was. We’d all sign in a heartbeat for a repeat.
There was a torch but it was short lived. Right before Christmas.

All I can think of is Columbus Day weekend last year at my son's soccer tournament. High 80s and humidity. Awful. Looks like it's becoming more and more a reality.

70 on my way into work at 4:30am...awful.
Disgusting. Hopefully, we hang onto clouds because if we don't it's going to be unbearable later.

You will have many of those. I was thinking temps in the 60s to low 70s.
Obviously I would prefer that, but I’m realistic. -

If you are looking for a good fall pattern, just close your eyes and go to sleep for a couple weeks. Even that might not be enough time.
All I ask is that it's below 85 and not too humid. That's it.

The heat needs to end. I can't stand it.

Sleet in Mount Joy.

Just insane rain in York right now.

I think it’s over guys. I saw 3 groundhogs today (waking up from hibernation) and the sap run is ending (trees are entering spring mode). I know we can still get snow in late March, but it just doesn’t look likely at this point.

Anyone heard from Zac (EasternUSWX was his name I believe - lived down south of Shippensburg)? He was dealing with some medical issues I know before he left.
I think he's on Twitter.

On Sunday my wife joked about shoveling the snow out of our yard onto the street, after choking on my cold brew, she realized by my look i didn't agree. Yesterday when i got home the snow was noticeably melted. We took a hit Monday.
My boys and I make a pile of it close to the north side of the house to minimize the sun it gets. We try to make it last as long as possible.- 1

Just pure shit that we are in a cycle where this shows up as spring arrives. Infuriating.
While I love snow anytime, I agree that this new pattern of March cold and snow is bizarre. -
Starting to pick up here in southern York County.

Most winters over the decades are built on 3 to 6 or 4 to 8 inch events.
We have been spoiled this decade with several large storms.
Absolutely correct. And a lot of people have no memory or weren't alive in the late 80s/early 90s when we couldn't buy a winter storm.

Gotcha... please post 18z Euro Kuchera If you come across it.
I don’t think there is Kuchera for the 18Z.

That kind of defeats the purpose of making a forecast!
