Getting some decent snow here too tonight. Very wind blown but about 1”

Upslope has been pretty limited so far... just some lights stuff, enough to whiten the ground but pretty pathetic. Kinda like December as a whole

Lots of grass showing in open areas even up here. Pathetic! Oh yeah, December to remember... for ruining a perfectly good streak we’ve been in since early November! ok, rant done. One funny thing I noticed though. My house is in a total weenie spot. All the areas around it have a good 4-6” left. Probably because it’s protected from the wind? Not sure, but I like it. Picture from this afternoon.

Downsloping??? I wish, at least it'd be dry. It's raining from Florida to the St Lawrence. That'd be one big area of downslope!!! More worried about downsloping on Tue/Wed but we'll see. December to remember my a$$

Holding on here but took a good beating. The temperature profile is wild though. Driving around you go from 38 in Bretton Woods to 51 in Whitefield. And this is the overnight profile. Probably related to the wind?

Funny you should say that - I actually just got off the phone with a production company that wants to shoot a Sam Adams commercial at my house. They wanted a place with good chances of a snowy scenery.

Several ungroomed no snowmaking trails opened here this week - was fun to ski and great conditions with a very dense bottom layer and fluffy top! Looks like the whole mountain is making snow tonight though lol. Prepping for the meltdown?

1.2”! I agree with you. I’d rather get 1-2” every day than 10” one day and nothing for a week.

Had the same thought! Also, as far as missing on the storm... I was telling DIane recently how my perception has changed since moving up here. In Mass missing a storm always hurt because the chances are so much more limited to get snow. Up here, we get so much and the season is so long, that it's really easy to let go when one doesn't pan out. I mean, heck, we've had measurable - albeit very light - snow something like 6 out of the last 7 days, and I've been looking at stunningly beautiful trees all week. I still do hate cutters though...

Cool snowfall tonight. THe flakes are large perfectly shaped crystals
