  1. Some really nice bands making it this way
  2. Snowing very nicely here, right on the edge of the shield. 1.5” so far today (in about 2 hours)
  3. Had the same thought! Also, as far as missing on the storm... I was telling DIane recently how my perception has changed since moving up here. In Mass missing a storm always hurt because the chances are so much more limited to get snow. Up here, we get so much and the season is so long, that it's really easy to let go when one doesn't pan out. I mean, heck, we've had measurable - albeit very light - snow something like 6 out of the last 7 days, and I've been looking at stunningly beautiful trees all week. I still do hate cutters though...
  4. A bit icy here too, but beautiful day
  5. Eh, don’t let it get to you. We’ll have our chances.
  6. Wintry day for sure with high in the mid teens and flurries continuing.
  7. Cloudy and flurries again. We may never see the sun again lol
  8. Cool snowfall tonight. THe flakes are large perfectly shaped crystals
  9. Haha well it is Black Friday after all!
  10. The flurries seem never ending. Another “mid-winter” appeal day
  11. Interestingly, spent the day in Conway and Mount Wash was completely clear - very pretty to see. Then I get home and it’s still cloudy with flurries. Must be really low level stuff
  12. What a difference a notch makes. Cloudy with flurries at home and full on sunshine on the other side.
  13. Me too! One reason why I love upslope - it seems to do that more than synoptic storms
  14. Won’t be bad here. Grooming plus a fresh coat is just fine.
  15. A few pictures from a walk with the kids in my backyard
  16. Nice fluffy snow falling this morning, about 1/2” so far. Happy Thanksgiving!
  17. Not till much later: Rain before midnight, then rain and snow between midnight and 3am, then snow after 3am.
  18. Unexpectedly, it’s now a snow and sleet mix here. I think our snowpack is safe
  19. Thought it was pouring rain but then I looked at the skylights and it’s a mix of rain and sleet. I knew those skylights would be good for something. 36.9/31.8
  20. 21 degrees and stake at 8". Let's see what the rain does!
  21. Mostly melted off the trees here, but in spite of warm temp the snow stake has only lost an inch (10" to 9"). I hate to admit though, today feels fantastic. Took the opportunity to put out Xmas decorations without freezing my butt off.
  22. Aww wasn’t meant to taunt you! Merely an observation
  23. I was down in North Conway today and it seems so weird that it's completely bare ground there. Living up here the early seasons seem like a different season. Mid winter here, late fall there. Kinda cool for such a short distance. Also interesting to notice that while generally (I assume) much less snowy, Littleton also seems to have a longer snow season than Conway. I love the microclimates of this area. Winter Storm Warnings up. We'll see!
  24. I find you need some really strong winds for it to matter. In most cases the difference is not very noticeable until you get to Whitefield or towards Littleton
