It was windy overnight for sure, but it wasn't sustained I don't think. My peak appears to be 44 overnight. I'm guessing I get to around 55 tonight. I expect fascia to be ripped off .... again.

Gonna have lots of calls tomorrow for trees down. This solid soaking rain + 45+ mph gusts for 12 hours is a problem.

Lilacs are my wife’s favorite. We have a busy and a tree and man they smell so nice.

I genuinely think a winter landscape is prettier than a summer landscape. Once everything blooming fades off in spring, it's not pretty to me anymore. Another reason is very selfish: I have extreme sensitivity to the sun - in the winter I can be outside and not worry about it for hours and hours so much. In summer, after 10 minutes I will be badly burned and run the risk of skin cancer down the line.
