  1. Immunity day celebration at Rubicon in HBG. What a great evening even if still windy. Will we ever have days of calm winds again?
  2. It got sneaky warm in a hurry. Gorgeous day though.
  3. Yesterday’s winds knocked out the NOAA weather radio at MDT. Wow.
  4. Geez. Glad no damage and more glad no injuries. Welcome to my team.
  5. The wind has finally calmed. Gusts only into low 30s now but sustained is closer to 15-20. Tuesday, we prob get another windy as hell day because it’s all we do here now.
  6. Looks like Manheim had a 64 mph gust, edging out MDT’s 62 mph gust for highest in the region.
  7. Are we past the height of the downsloping? God I hope so.
  8. Chiming in from Harrisbug where we had an official 62 earlier and lots and lots and lots in the 50s.
  9. lol CTP just changed my point-and-click for afternoon gusts to 55 (was 48). Little late, guys.
  10. Damn CXY (Capital City) hit 49 and they are ALWAYS under due to their sensor placement (but really good with temp, humidity and precip so I can forgive this issue).
  11. Sounded like my roof was coming off about 5 mins ago. Oh and my wind gauge is no longer on my garage. Maybe I'll find it tomorrow.
  12. Yeah, we have pretty similar backyards (but I have a garage on the end of mine) so was curious. Edit: Just had a 51 gust. Double edit: 52. Sh1t's cranking.
  13. It's a very good system. Where do you mount the wind gauge? I have a simple bluetooth one on top of my garage eave.
  14. Interesting that's lower than other guidance. Maybe the GFS is right for once?
  15. I honestly don't keep daily records. I know I should, but I'm lazy lol.
  16. It's crazy it's not even a storm that is bring this event - just a f'n cold front. It makes no sense.
  17. It's really unusual to get 50+ gusts for 8 hours. This won't be a one-type gust thing, this will be like 40 gusts above 50. Sustained 30 mph winds with those gusts is tropical-like stuff. I think Sandy or Isabelle was prob the last time we've seen this so strong.
  18. With the sun out and the secondary cold front coming through, I fully expect a LOT of power outages and home damage all over this region. This will be the most significant wind event in quite a few years.
  19. Reminder the high wind warning doesn’t go into effect until 2 pm. This wind is just the appetizer.
  20. If anyone throws a knuckleball, they win (assuming the catcher has 40' long arms)
