It would be helpful if we had more ridging out ahead of this too, But that just may be some spacing issues from today's that keeps it a bit flatter and east, But when you want some help from a SE ridge we don't have any.
What i keep in the back of my mind is keeping an eye to see if it starts to consolidate more going forward and starts to lose more of the IVT look that it has had in previous runs especially yesterday.
Definitely, A +2 or 3 in Jan up here is still below freezing so its a non factor as we get into Jan-Feb as far as temps go, But we want a wet pattern too.
Right now, I don't expect much if any unless this keeps ticking west on upcoming runs, Its rare for the IVT here as well, Certainly not going to rely on it to unfold.
It try's too inject more northern stream energy, But you don't get it to capture and close off until its well north of here, That's why i want to see it keep digging.
I would too, We just need the northern stream to keep digging SE to get that surface low back further west, That's one of the keys and for it to stay amped up as well, Heights out ahead were somewhat better too so a combo of all of it.
