Yes, Cukes always get hit hard, I have to stay on the cukes with neem oil every year, They're very susceptible to white powdery mildew, I have found that if other plants are nearby that can be infected, The spores will transfer to them and become a problem as well, That's what happened to my pot plants one year, Especially the white widow strain is why i mentioned it.

Keep an eye on those plants as you progress along as white powdery mildew can become a problem on occasion later this summer, That could end up being a buzz killer.

Well, We need warm weather and sun for them to hatch, We've had none here, Even the mosquitos drowned.

And this is true, 3 days of sun up here out of 19 this month, And looks like 3 more then another showery weekend, May not be the same pattern we just had, But it will yield similar results and still sucks, We need an extended period of stein to commence, Garden wise though, I'm much better off then many i would say here, A lot of folks i talk to have or had a redo.

This month has sucked, No way to sugar coat it, Looks like a few days in the 80's then back to the same garbage next weekend.

I've seen a white pine get obliterated when it was struck by a bolt at the golf course about 10 yrs ago when we had a severe cell come thru and we just got back in the clubhouse and there were shards of the tree scattered all over a 50 yd radius as it just exploded, Even the ground got fried where the roots traveled.
