Picking fights is dumb. Go back to reading.

Why the fuck is channel 13/CBS Baltimore making us watch the shitty Commanders play the hapless Jets instead of carrying the Browns-Texans game? Unbelievable.
Second half has been pretty good, imo

I wasn’t kidding. Some folks just disappear. Then winter comes and I remember those who are not around anymore. I hope he’s doing well.

This is an age-old, circular, meta debate on all forums ever, which will never be solved, but imho it is better to mute posters than to post 15 times a day on how and why other people's posts suck, how they have always tended to suck, and how you expect them to suck going fwd. Not everyone is into using ignore features and that's fine. But, again only imho, the complaints, if excessive enough, become as annoying as the trash posts. Some complaining is cool though, like I am doing here
the ignore function is glorious and i wish others would use it more

Agreed. Wall-to-wall winter like 13-14 or a monster season like 09-10 would be amazing, but if not, a huge storm and a mild winter with weather you can actually enjoy being outside would be great. The warm/wet, cold/dry winters are brutal.
... i wasn't actually being serious. sorry for the confusion.

That would be torturous. Even worse, it would skew the yearly snowfall data and make people think the winter was somehow justified.
i wasn't being serious lol

I really don't want this to turn into a winter like 2015-2016 where we blow the entire pattern for 1 event that melts off in 3 days.
oh come on, that'd be fun! 2 days with 30 inches of snow, and mild temps the rest of the time. perfection.

Happy Anniversary, Mappy!
Thank you! Besides the obvious memory of the day and the snow, I think my favorite part was driving from my aunt's house in Frederick to the venue, at 7am, in pouring snow, listening to White Wedding on repeat while I chain smoked in the passenger seat.

My post was basically focused on how the pattern may evolve over the next 2 - 3 weeks.
My 378 map was not intended to offend you.
No one is offended. Just messing around.

i think it's one thing to post very high level maps trying to establish how the pattern might evolve over the ensuing two-three weeks. But looking at individual storms and upper air temps on a localized level... come on man.
i shouldn't even be in this thread lol, i offer nothing of substance. nor do i pay attention to anything beyond 3 days. yall crazy chasing patterns 10+ days out.

Please allow me to address your concern. My post was a critque of the 240 hr. GEFS and why it probably won't work because of thermals, but it could set the stage for the next system.
Regarding 300+ maps, LOL, this site and thread is loaded with 360 and 384 maps.
I know. Yall should be ashamed of yourselves

people who post 300hr+ maps should go sit a corner and think about what they've done wrong

Ah, sorry, read too quickly. Seemed weird if that would have been harford county but I haven't really paid attention to timing on arrival of cold enough air on backside of system to give flurries...
Def not cold enough for snow here lol

The lack of winter is so much easier to enjoy when you don’t waste your time chasing pattern changes and snow. Beautiful day today to run some errands and get vitamin D
