Up until today the models were mostly under .5" so yeah we should be skeptical of more until we see some consistency

All the models have it. Just a matter of if the heaviest goes to our north and west like the gfs has been showing

08-09 had exactly 6" in December and made it to 27.6 so basically average

There were back to back months <1" in late 80 early 81 and a dry spring in 88 but both were followed by wet months so drought wasn't prolonged
