If that fell on the Pompton-Passaic watershed, Route 23 in Riverdale-Pompton Plains would be closed for a week. (As it was back when I lived there, 1950-72: in 1955 - Connie/Diane - and 13 years later from a late May deluge. Seeing flood debris on the top railing of bridges was impressive.)
If anything tropical comes up in the next few weeks it will be a disaster, ala 2011.

Nam has a cooler push from the n into the 60's by Sat night...not really that evident on other guidance as of yet.
Yeah it just looks so unsettled so I figured we'd stay in the 70s

Happy for the folks near the coast/city who've missed the storms the past few weeks.
I'm still seeing quite the light show and I must be at least 45 miles as the crow flys. Maybe I'm seeing another cell in union county?
No I was seeing it as well from well north and west of the storms

Seeing alot of lightning off to the east and also hearing thunder to the west yet nothing on radar out here

Park coning in 3 - 5 lower than adjacent sites (10 inches of rain will do that there).
Won't be surprised if they don't reach 90 2 of the next 3 days

Pretty close. I ended up with 44" and you have my area on the border of 45-50 and 50-55

Quick downpour but it looks like plenty more on the way. It would be something if we had a repeat of last Friday here when I received over 4" of rain and had plenty of flooding in the area.
Storms are moving pretty quickly so I don't think we'll see those copious amounts but some spots could get multiple cells training over the same area
