I just got up and checked and there are some wet flakes mixed in FINALLY.  It is extremely frustrating seeing all the snow while my ground is bare and wet.

It's such a different landscape over a short distance on 401. Wake tech has pretty good snow and people sliding off that hill. Just a little slush near that sheetz and Bojangles and just wet by the food lion.

Yep.  I'm near the Food Lion and Chevy dealership.  Nothing but a cold rain.  

I can't wait to see the official snowfall map for this system and see the cutoff for zilch a mile from my house.

I think I'm the only 5-mile radius area in Wake County that got hardly nothing with this system.  We got about 1-2 inches of slush on Sunday that was melted by dinner.  Absolutely nothing with this system Monday morning.    Extremely frustrating.

I can't even begin to tell you how frustrating this is in Southern Wake.  Barely anything yesterday, gone by dinner, and nothing this morning but cold rain.  What a shame.  

Well I think the snow line is never going to make it down to my place.  Just a rainy morning.

Absolutely NOTHING but rain near Fuquay.  What in the world?

This is ridiculous.  My yard is completely bare and it is doing NOTHING at my place in South Wake near Fuquay.  The radar also is clearing out over me.

Rain with a little sleet in southern Wake.  I don't have a bit of snow in my yard anymore, so I'd love to get some more.  

The upper level low brings its own cold air, in a way.  But rates will be lighter.  I think the most anyone could expect is an addition 1", if that.

I would really love to see this happen tomorrow.  We only got a couple inches of slush in southern Wake and most of it was over before sunrise.  

Models are looking good.  Upper level lows bring their own cold, so we have that going for us, too.

I'd love to get another little burst of snow tonight/tomorrow since we didn't get a lot of snow with this round.

Crazy.  I knew there would be a gradient across Wake, but I didn't picture 7-8 inches.

This is about what I predicted for southern Wake.  We had a quick 1.5" of snow..  It is almost gone now.  Wet, slushy mess.  Was pretty to look at for a couple hours.

The Wake gradient strikes again!  Take it to the bank each storm!

Southern Wake near Fuquay.  My snow is almost melted.  It is just a slushy/muddy mess in the yard now.  We tried to play outside in it, but it wasn't happening.  

Roads are almost clear too, just wet and a little slushy.  

Topped out at 1.75" down near Fuquay.  Grass barely covered!  It has been a rain/sleet mix for the past 2 hours.

Apologies, I meant Raleigh.  
And yea they ended up issuing WSW, but I'm still not convinced it was necessary.  I could see some snow/sleet accumulations in the morning that will be washed away by a cold rain later in the day.  I think a lot of children (mine included) are going to be disappointed.  We need to get up early and go outside because playing in the snow in a cold rain later will be miserable.

I was referring to Raleigh.  Temperatures in Charlotte may actually stay at 32 for much longer which causes the ice accrual.

important point.  Temperatures get above freezing around lunch time tomorrow and never go below freezing Sunday night.  Lots of melting to be had.  Monday morning may not be all that bad on the roads.  Tuesday morning could be worse with refreeze.

My official Wake county forecast:  Extreme southern wake near JoCo/Harnett = 0-1" of snow and minor glazing.     Central Wake = 1-2 inches of snow - minor glazing.  Northern Wake = 3-5 inches, minor glazing.
