Turned to snow when I got to town at 5:00. Was all rain from Parsippany through Mendham. 

Agree with it coming down now; fresh inch in the past hour. 

State Courts in Morris and Sussex closed at 3:00...I am not kidding. 

21/13 currently. 

I'm in Perth amboy for a scene investigation...it's 30 degrees. Ground is cold. You never know what tomorrow night could bring. 

In Sandy Hook for work....absolutely pouring/wind. Rather warm however. I'm sure the Parkway North will be fun to drive. 

There's ice on the edges of the Delaware south of Trenton. Saw it this morning on my drive south. 

Btw...toaster bathes are in demand in the main forum. I've seen it bad before, but this year is nuts.

I remember it well. Just moved into Chester. Had a new puppy, a pregnant wife and 34" of snow to shovel.

Also wood stove is cranking. Down to 23 from a 12:30 pm high of 37.

Winds are now from the north; much stronger than this morning.

Started snowing at 6:30. Intensity picked up at 7:30. 1/2" down. 

Temp down to 28. 

30/25. NEXRAD has snow approaching from the southwest. 

32/19 now...dp slowly dropping from this morning. 

Winds seem out of the east/southeast. Stranger things have happened, but I'm not expecting much.

Main thread is canceling this storm and the remainder of January.

1/2". Flurries continued when I left home around 7:30. 

I'm still struggling with how the lp center pushes as far north as modeled before exiting stage right. It's like the models found the weakness in the hp and are determined to press into it.

Snow googles for me; but I dread the amount of ice progged down here.

Appreciate the welcome. The main forum just reads like a "measuring" contest more often than not. 

There are a lot of great posters in there, and the mods do a great job filtering. Nice to catch a break from the hostility though.

You gents are well north of me, which means you will see the best the show has to offer this time.

I'm in southwest Morris County; about 40 miles west of the city as the crow flies... Thinking ice and a lot of it, is in my future. Good thing I split enough wood to last a while when the power goes out. 

The 0z Euro/U.K. have my attention. I feel for you guys out east; but I lost power for 4 days last winter; this could be a repeat. 

South west Morris County looks like it never cracks 32 on surface and at 84 is getting shellacked with precip.
