Had some lightening and a loud rumble of thunder. Heavy rain has ended. I'd say between .75-1". There's a nice run-off river flowing through the property.
-
Rain, heavy at times. Property is starting to get that water-logged look.
-
A/c in full effect. Thick, soupy air. Dews are way up.
-
Roads were flooded in Hackensack around 10:30 this morning. Breaks of sun now in the Parsippany area.

I may be west of the NYC/NJ metro area.(40 miles). It's raining.
-
45/41 currently.

Tremendous rains out this way. Flash flooding did occur. Even the fields couldn't hold the water, side streets became rivers. I would expect the Passaic/pompton/rockaway rivers to have problems.

I'm 10 miles south of Stanhope; we had a little rain, no wind/hail. Almost like a subsidence zone in winter.
Did see tremendous lightening southeast of our house, from the Mountainside/Summit storm.
-
Still here. Storms are missing. I'm reading about the storms by you. Windy?
Ha...that was a text to my pops in Montville. Chester is eerily still.

Do you not use window screens in the big city?

Windows wide open. Down to 63. Perfect night to end a long weekend.

The sycamore in my area have it as well. They should leave out soon; mine is underway. It's likely do the wet conditions/decaying leaves from last year. Fungal spores seem to effect their first leaf out.
They are generally resilient trees. They can handle the salt from winter road clean up and the less than optimal air quality of the city areas.

Regardless of the heat to materialize or not, it's 52 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Great day for clearing some brush.
-
Heavy thunderstorms continue. That one shook the house. Over 1" now.
-
Beautiful morning. Sunny and 41.

Down to 42; moderate rain continues. Over 1" now. Winds picking up.
Maybe I'll break the 40 degree mark? Could be close.
Heat was turned on after the house temp hit 58.

10/10 weather out this way. CoC type weather as posters in the New England thread comment.
-
Woodstove will be required on Mother's day!

Agreed. Storms blew up over the house. Pretty impressive lightning/thunder and rain.

Feel bad for you guys in the urban heat island, homes/buildings never get a chance to cool off.
