Same out this way. Trees, including white pines, still have snow. Not to mention the 4" compacted on the ground.
I understand the city and points east have limited snow retention ability, but that was a rather broad statement to be made.

Still snowing out this way. Little pack freshener. Very fluffy stuff.

2014-2015 winter was very cold. The first in our Chester house. I distinctly remember what the gutters looked like loaded with ice/snow and monster icicles.

Finished with 7.5" down here in south west Morris County. Real nice looking snowfall.

Finished with 7.5". Good first storm of the season. Hopefully more to come!

Closing in on 9" here. There's no wind. The amount of snowload on the trees has me somewhat concerned for power outages if we do get wind.
Light snow continues.

Over 6" now; more on the way.

Radar returns, though a bit weaker compared to past blockbuster storms, are getting that Northeast to southwest counter clockwise look. Let's see if the city members, without snow to this point, can grab a few inches.
Not to rub salt but I'm over 6" with more to come. Currier and Ives outside right now; every branch is covered in white.

Yesterday was mostly ice down this way. This round I'm at 4.5" with light snow falling. Very picturesque.

Very light snow continues out this way. 4.5" on the ground.
Dense snow, great for making snowmen with my 3 year old.

Back in Chester now. Noticeable increase in the accumulation compared to lower elevation.
Moderate snow continues here. Haven't measured yet; eyeballing 3-4"

To my untrained eye, that mass of convection off the southern nj coast is starting to blow up and move NW into NJ and points North and east.
This might be a surprise of goods.

Wife in Chester says snow has continued since I left for work at 8:00 am.
Currently very fine/moderate snow outside office in basking ridge.

The amount of ice accretion on the trees is alarming. Still at 32.

Flipped to 90 percent snow at 12:40 with heavier returns. Everything coated.
Now light flurries/sleet. 27 degrees

27 degrees with freezing rain/sleet. I should flip soon with heavier returns to my south west.

Any Indication on how this will turn out for MMU? Seems like a lot of city talk here.
.Point and click has 6-8"; winter storm warning between 5-11". Odd storm for sure.
The models all seem to have a good push of snow from NY/NJ border, i.e. West Milford, toward your area; less so my area further south west.
Good luck!

Any snow, is good snow. Trends seem to be favorable. Worry about details as we get closer.
That 30" spot in NE CT is hilarious though.

22 currently. With the mostly full moon and crunchy top layer of grass, feels almost like deep winter sans snow.
