  1. Meh Rather active to the NW with a QLCS moving across upstate NY into VT where favorable instability/shear parameter space overlaps good forcing for ascent ahead of mid level trough. Hi-res CAMS show some of this convection moving into northern and western MA later this evening but in a weakened state as instability diminishes. However, an isolated strong storm with gusty winds can`t be ruled out. Current forecast is on track

  17. LONG TERM /SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY/... The broken record pattern continues across southern New England through most of next week. With a rather broad mid level trough expected to linger overhead most of next week. At the surface, our region is right along the edge where a series of fronts are expected to stall nearby, as several weak surface waves traverse along these boundaries to slow their eastward progress. It will not be raining all this time,
