  1. " As advertised, the overnight hours will be rather cold. Clouds clear quickly as the cold front races off shore and PWATs fall. The wind direction shifts, west to north, advecting an unseasonably cold air mass over southern New England" Torch!
  2. 46° quite a change from the Frost of yesterday. Birds are going nuts.
  3. Down to 1° over now. Should bump it up a little in the next week or so.
  4. Pretty much near normal maybe a couple days ahead. https://www.usanpn.org/files/npn/maps/six-leaf-return-interval-2024.png
  5. Yep a beauty. Trees starting to pop today. Chestnut, birch and swamp maples.
  6. Let's hope it comes to fruition. It's time.
  7. I would take another month of today's. Gorgeous out.
  8. 34° here, warmer than a lot of spots. Looks like a nice day on tap.
  9. Have a little bit at the woodyard. Red maples in the swamps are beginning. Of course the invasives are ahead of everything. Burning bush and multiflora rose are flourishing.
  10. New England botanic garden. Tower Hill.
  11. Do they help prevent Frost? " strong radiational cooling. The NBM running way too warm for this setup, so went with the 10th percentile of guidance for lows. Should see temps ranging from the mid 20s to the mid 30s. Should see fairly widespread frost. Frost/freeze headlines will likely be needed in future updates."
  12. 36 chilly start. Looks like it clouds up quick unfortunately..
  13. Probably slightly. Still cool for present day climate. I mean heck, last year we had four days in a row of 70s and '80s and even upper 80s.
  14. 2-0 now. Agree with the nail biter. 19 shots and the Leafs can score in bunches.
  15. Who cares about average. We need some heat. Even last year we had '70s and '80s during April. One measly 70 this year.
  16. Where are the '70s and '80s we've been promised for months? Looks like a cool finish to the month according to my AOL app. Go to Myspace for a complete breakdown.
  17. Where's the torch? Nothing of the sort.
  18. Mighty slow thread. Who doesn't like scintillating temperature talk?
  19. Send some more of those cookout pictures. Those are always fun.
